You hear that, Buffalo unions? Don't quite have us by the short and curlies enough just yet? Next time you want to squeeze us for every last fucking penny, take the homeless to the picket line, pay them $8 and hour and claim they are temporary employees! LOL!

NYT Exposes Journalistic Fraud!

Not that any of you read The New Republic, it is far too centrist for your tastes (personally, I hate that they make you pay for articles on the web) but I think it takes some nerve for the Gray Lady to broach the subject of fabricated stories. Any of you ever read their Op-Ed columnists? Hahahahaha.

Edit: Oh, how could I have forgotten this one? Lindsay Lohan, arrested on suspicion of DUI (and definitely having some fuggin blow in her pocket).

There is something indescribably delicious about seeing an entitled celeb, who really doesn't get what it means to be a junkie, fall from grace. Oh yes, I am aware of her gravy training, enabling mother. When is Lohan going to visit the clink like Paris? When is she going to be unlucky and kill some poor fucker with her car because she's too much of an ignorant slutzilla to be sober when she gets behind the wheel?

Got My Phone

Got a Razr V3t, which has all the features I could realistically use. Dude tried selling me a bluetooth headset but I think they're more of a fashion accessory, given the poor reputation they have for quality, plus they're about $50. I also don't want to be that douche that can't help but "be seen" with it out on the town. F THAT.

Saw a Pimp on Saturday, no really. Wish I had snapped a photo.

Eh, weekend was alright. Saw Chelsea FC on television on Saturday which was cool. Not much really to report. Oh, I did send my first picture text on Saturday, but I doubt they know who sent it! Very random.

Need Cell Phone Advice

Okay, so a week (ok, more than that) ago I lost my phone after I went to Consumer's to get my St. Bernardus - I was hoping to find it but at the same time the damn thing was broken (no to ringey, yes to vibey).

So I need a new phone, and I guess I have to get it tomorrow sometime.

Now, I don't need the newest fanciest, most advanced tech in a hand held device. I have never felt the need to browse the web on my phone, so I guess I don't really care if it has uber fast data transfer rates or neat browsers. I also will probably never care to listen to music on my phone. I have an iPod that works.

I need a phone, with voice mail, with a camera on it, and I also text on occasion. Basically something decent, fairly modern. I was thinking either LG Chocolate, or maybe a KRZR, or something along those lines.

What do you use? What would you pick?

Dern Meddling Kids, and Thom Yorke

Yeah, we went out to my car this morning to go to work and we saw someone had splotched a bunch of pink/brown something on the driver's side window. Immediately I thought that it was someone I know, someone petty, who isn't really above doing that kind of thing. Then I thought, eh, maybe it was some drunk idiot or a stupid kid who did it. Doesn't matter. Whatev.

I've been thinking more about Radiohead recently. They have a new album coming out this year, and I've just read some rumors that it will have an overt political feel. Holy fuck. As much as I love his music (with a big EXCEPT going out to his solo work) I cannot stand the thought of Radiohead going even more left wing. Thom, everything you write on your little blog has to do with something political.

Thom, I don't know how you can live with yourself. It must be a very complicated life for someone in your position. Hey, you promised that the rumors aren't true, that this next one won't be political, but after following your group for 10 years plus, I know better than to trust something you say in an interview. If you say it won't be political, I have my fears you're going to go off the deep end.

That being said, I listened to Hail to the Thief (HAR HAR HAR!) again today, and I loved it per usual. Hey, Thom, are you actually going to sing again someday?

Yeah, you guys know I'm going to buy it and love it anyway. There are comparisons to OK Computer, and if it is anywhere near as good as OK Computer I'll be in H-E-A-V-E-N.

Wow. Who could have ever guessed that? Party girl goes and finds hot roided up guys, enjoys dong after dong, and then somehow inexplicably "grows up" one morning and decides she wants a guy with a paycheck and who won't smack the shit out of her, to set her up for the future. You don't need a team of eggheads at UCLA to tell you that! You just have to observe everyday life.

Of course, early on I was flagged as being the latter, not the former, unfortunately. Yeah, being the guy you settle down with should be a whole lot of "fun" after you've exhausted every last sexual fantasy on former gym class heroes who couldn't give a shit about you or any other wet vagina. They lust after one kind of man, but "love" another kind of man, and then say "But I CHOSE YOU." Oh, is that really ever true?

I hate relationships. There has to be someone that fits, someone as crazy as me that laughs at everyone else.

Ugly 4th!

Man, I didn't get to BBQ. I didn't get my OV splits. And, I sure as shit am not going to enjoy some Eurotrash socialist froo froo meal either. No, not on the 4th. The 4th means beef, beer, Bruce Springsteen, and USA flag bikinis. What a terrible 4th it was this year, except that I got the day off, which was nice.

Been kind of feeling antisocial, again. Ugh. (e:Lilho), I'm sorry we didn't get to hang out before you left. Josh and I both got really sick at the wrong time, plus, I was feeling sort of antisocial. Sometimes I get that way. It would have been nice to sit on the porch and chat, and maybe get a cheap feel in (jk! jk! jk!). I don't think you would have had much fun anyway, seeing as I was a hacking, coughing mess. Plus I'm a lame-o. E-mail me sometime when you're bored.

(e:Ladycroft) - I saw your sticky. Again, I'm just feeling antisocial. It's not my fault, or so I am told constantly it is not my fault. We are looking for a way to properly "treat" the picture so it does not go "bad", whatever that means but you get the idea. Don't worry so much about the details surrounding your exodus to the desert. It will get done, and you are going to have such a good experience there. I especially liked the news paper with the ad for the loan that adheres to shari'a law.

(e:Jenks) - we can have that music conversation whenever you like. Assuming of course I'm not feeling antisocial. I need some new tunes. Also I want to see you not stressed out so much over some dude. Nobody is perfect, nobody is ideal. Everyone just looks to upgrade anyway. Who wants to wager that you would like him LESS if he were crazy about you? Now there is a provocative thought.

Did I mention I'm feeling antisocial? How do you get over that?

But we got home at 2 AM. OUCH! I am so tired right now and don't know how I'm going to get through the day without nodding off.

There seem to be very little hotels available from July 9-13 in the city proper. Is there something going on at that time I am unaware of?
