New York State Is Fucking Awesome

New York State wasn't just content to let me pay my taxes last year, they harassed me claiming I had never paid. Six months later they finally sent me a letter acknowledging what I'd already known, that I paid my mother fucking taxes long ago. I hate tax season. Between them and the federales I can't wait to see how much my middle class ass has to redistribute to the freeloaders. I always end up paying.

I know what some people are going to say. "Collateral Damage" or something to that effect. Well, too bad for the guy, uh, we feel poorly for him and all, uh, but uh...we can't punish her. Personally, I think she should get four years, same as him, alone in a cell. It of course wouldn't be equitable, as he was innocent and she was not, but it would be some kind of justice. There has to be a deterrent that prevents this from happening. This is why I don't go out....some women are plain nutso....

What?? Is This A Trend??

I asked a friend about La Tee Da this past Sunday because I wanted to go there sometime solo to scope it out. Anyway, he says to me "Yeah Jay they have a picture of Obama on the wall. Can you believe it?"

WTFBomb? Imagine me staring straight ahead, blinking rapidly.

I suppose I just don't get it. This seems to be a movement and it's getting creepier by the second. I wonder how many other establishments in Buffalo have succumbed to this unfortunate trend? Normally this would be when I use really salty, pointed language to describe how I'm feeling but you're lucky. I'm turning over a new leaf.

So, no it won't stop me from eating there. I still want to try it as I hear the food is really good. But I can't promise my mouth will behave when it's done. And I'd rather take someone someplace non-political.

I Hate Planning

Almost nothing frays my nerves more than planning out somewhere to take someone, especially if you don't know the city.

Am I picking a cool enough venue?
What if it's in the wrong neighborhood?
What if a similar place is better?
What if I fall flat on my face?

I've got a million tabs open in Firefox. I'm wearing myself out second guessing myself. Thoughts like this wear you down more and more until you feel......nothing. Because I care a lot and a guy's got only so much feeling in him. And I know I'm trying my best so I have nothing to be ashamed of.

Kibbles and Bits

I was thinking about something again the other day when Josh was talking about getting advice from Sweetness 7's owner concerning some type of tea. I wonder if their fixation with Barack Obama has come to an end with the recent circular firing squad type of activity going on in lefty circles? There is a part of me that hopes so, since I feel it is a big "FUCK YOU" every time I walk into the shop. You know, maybe when I go to a coffee shop I just want a cup of coffee and a muffin. I don't go there much because of this. Too bad because their coffee is the best around if you ask me.

Another Lesson To Learn

I'm always learning new things. Some are hard lessons, others are easy. One thing I've never been able to do is take it easy on myself when I screw up. You have to be able to forgive yourself. So right now I'm in the process of learning. Let's hope I learn fast, because I don't want to struggle or hold onto any guilt.

Down With Disease

Well. I doubt I'll make it to the NYE party tonight, which I'm not at all happy about. I definitely, without question, have the runny nose, throat issues and cough. No way can I go to a party and get people sick no matter how much I enjoy the bubb. So I hope everyone has a great time and most importantly I want everyone to a man to get home safely.

As for me, shit, now I don't know. I actually watched a movie this week, Inglorious Basterds, and I laughed my ass off at the Nazis getting scalped, blown up, et cetera. There certainly will be shit for TV tonight. Maybe I'll watch another movie. Or rent a game. Who knows.

What's in a resolution? I made it something practical last year, so I'm going to choose something which should be very simple to do. I'll let you know when I decide on that something.
