Inspiraysean - Can't Leave Comments

For some reason.

Anyhow, I'm not intentionally trying to be harsh to anyone. I drop F-bombs in everyday language, and of course not everyone knows that. Lord knows I've made my glowing opinions of certain people known, so it has nothing to do with any kind of malicious intent.

For me, it's not like Sean is a jerk, or a shitty personality in any way whatsoever, so I do not at all understand the abuse hurled towards him. It gives us a window into one of the darkest aspects of humanity - the need to tear down people with a positive vision. We revel in our negativity, especially here in Buffalo, where we hate who we are, and have very little tolerance for anything different.

We just celebrated MLK Jr. Day - one of the greatest Americans in history, and someone I idolize, was killed in cold blood - and WHY WAS THIS? Because he dared to dream of a future that included a united humanity, little black boys and little white boys playing together side by side. Only after the fact do we understand how terrible our mistakes were, and how foolish we have been. This is not a Sean/MLK comparison, rather an illustration of how we view people who aren't a stick in the mud.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that he's one of (if not the most) positive thinkers we have here at the moment. Not everyone is content to be pissed off or bitter at the world, and frankly I think that Sean has some very practical and useful things to say. Take for example one of his most common themes - Gratitude. We so often focus on how unhappy we are, dwelling on how people have wronged us, or on how empty our wallets are. Woe is me, do I ever have something to be pissed off about. The negative - now THAT'S reality. I say BULLSHIT. It is only half of the reality, which is that there are blessings and curses in life, and how we deal with them will determine whether we are happy or sad, a success or a failure. Duality is human nature, so wake up and recognize it. Be grateful for the blessings in your life, and don't treat the negative like it has a vice grip around your throat, choking you to death.

I think I know the problem, and it is the language and the context used. I guarantee I could take something he wrote, use my own language, and have people nodding in agreement. People react to New Age Spirituality (NAS, lol, I invented an Acro) very negatively, and very sharply, and for good reason. For every useful piece of information, and good contact you can make with another human being, there is someone else waiting to fool you and rip you off. The room is cluttered with mess. Not everyone is equipped to deal with them in a way that will allow us to determine the good from the bad.

There is an easy way to figure this out, and it has to do with motivation. What is the motivation for the person to offer you information? Is he trying to get you to buy something, or to exert some kind of control over you? Is he acting out of fear? Does he simply care about you, and want to see you happy and fulfilled? We don't know what the motivation is in all cases, and that's vitally important.

Anyway, I didn't mean to be so long winded, but what I'm asking for is simple tolerance for a person who seems like a decent enough guy, and doesn't think of it as his mission to shit on what someone else writes. I personally don't give a fuck about fashion, environmentalism, or for that matter most topics people discuss. I don't think people really care about my relationship stories, or in the past my endless droning about my depression and subsequent recovery. However, there is a basic respect that people show me, which I am GRATEFUL for, because we all know that this is a place to express ourselves and learn from one another. I know that I can look at any one of you and see part of myself, past, present, or future.

Be Kind, Please.

Ugh, I Messed Up

Was tired and not feeling all that well Saturday, so I didn't think to call her. We were supposed to hang out. I spent yesterday wondering what to say or how to say it, basically I blew it and blew it worse by freezing up and not saying anything instead of telling her something to the effect of "Well can we hang out tomorrow? I am really tired and not feeling well."

Now she thinks something is up. I am such an idiot.

Not Giving A Shit

It's still the best policy when it comes to women. If there is one thing you can almost always bet on, it's that she has some people on the back burner just in case you fuck up. I have to admit that I am very, very uncomfortable with this, almost to the point where I would rather not bother.

No, nothing is "wrong" per se, so don't worry about me folks. I just don't like the idea of a back burner. Before I even bother to commit emotionally to someone I have to know that I'm the only one. When I date I am a one woman kind of guy. I suppose I should get some interesting backups lined up in case I get kicked to the curb for someone more preferable.

I don't even know why I feel this way.

Happy New Year, Everyone

Well, I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday. It looks like the NYE PMT Party was a smash hit, and that everyone had a blast. Good! Now, I have noticed a trend of me not being at a PMT party, and someday I will have to rectify that shit, but this time I had a good excuse: I am now off the market for the time being, and I had to go out with the girlfriend. Yes I said it, and it is kind of weird because I haven't had a girlfriend since 2002.

I know I said I would talk about my private life less, but that day is not today. The convo went something like this:

Her: So, I'm just a drinking buddy with benefits, huh?
Me: (Laughing) No no no, not true, not true.
Her: Good, because I was going to cut my losses if that were true.
Me: (Laughing, Nervously) What, you thought I didn't like you?
Her: (Looking Sheepish) Well, I don't know.....
Me: Yes, I think you're great, and I do want to be with you but I haven't had a girlfriend in a long time so I'm nervous.
Her: You don't have to be nervous.
Me: Well, good, because I've been calling you my girlfriend for two weeks now already.
Her: Now you can get laid pretty much whenever you want.
Me: COOL!

So I ended up meeting some of her friends out for New Year's, going to Faherty's, then Goodbar (where my friends where) and then back to her place. All in all a good evening, but I'm sure the e-peep party was fantastic as well.

An aside: I just can't believe that shit (e:Lilho) wrote about her friend and her ex. Brutal! That is an absolute No-No among guys, you do not even deal with your friend's ex, let alone start fucking them. And what's that shit about the loose pussy and big black cock? If he had any bollocks he should have gotten them kicked in for that little comment. Even for someone of my class (low), I think that is absolutely shocking. Darling you are far better off without them.

Blogging Woes

I find myself blogging in more than one place recently, and there are many reasons why.

For example - when talking about the girl I'm seeing, I would prefer to use this site primarily because she has no clue about it, but also because I know I can talk freely about how I feel about the situation with no backlash whatsoever. In fact, I would prefer talking about all serious subjects here, with you guys. An added bonus is that I get many interesting and thoughtful responses which help me a great deal.

Another example - when talking about sports, I would prefer to use MySpace because I know I will get feedback, which might not be true here. It's a case of my audiences having different interests, which is fantastic, but not so conducive to blogging in one place I suppose. Peter is always good for a response, as he has wildly varying interests, everything from nasty porn to my North American Union rant, but I don't expect everyone to be as interested in so many things like him.

Celebrity Justice, as well as many other elements of popular culture, are more or less appropriate anywhere.

Now we can bring up a very interesting question. Why do you blog? An entire entry could be dedicated to this, but the basic thought is that we want to be heard, and we want to connect with other people. A blog is no good if you don't have someone to respond to it.

Sometimes, God puts ideas in your head, a little nudge in the right direction.

I am growing very weary of using more than one blog, and yet I cherish my beloved fan base. It is time to reconcile these things. I have been inspired to create my own blog, and to talk about my personal life far less. I want more control, and I also want to do it as an exercise in programming. Still some questions remain, the most important one being how I can still connect with all of you, and many more who do not use e-strip, while controlling where and how my thoughts are presented. I do not ever intend on abandoning this blog, and so I think Paul's API is going to be very valuable.

There is no need to become a citizen-journalist. Journalists are too self-important, worrying more about getting a Pulitzer than giving people the real skinny. Being an informed citizen is good enough for me. What I want to do is share my ideas with the world, and to have my own personal stamp on it.

Greed At The Top - Now It's Steve Jobs?

Interesting news this morning from the Financial Times:

What is especially shocking is the revelation that Apple is one of 160 companies who are in trouble for giving the executives extra-sweet deals on stock options. Of course, the company's board, knowing they did something wrong, said something to the effect of: "Well, he didn't benefit enough from it, so what's the big deal?" WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Oh, and here's an interesting tidbit concerning the Russian polonium scandal:

When you get caught doing something bad, what do you do? Blame a Jew of course! How very European. No wonder the Israelis are suspicious of Europe.

North American Union

Interesting Link:

I'm not sure if we'll see a NAU in my lifetime, but from where I sit the evidence points towards something like this happening inevitably.

Think about it for a moment - both the Democrats and the Republicans are doing whatever they can to ensure that US Citizenship means jack and shit. The Dems, and to a smaller degree (not by much) the Repubs as well, are advocating an open borders policy, and amnesty for the scum who willingly and knowingly break our laws. A Democratic candidate in San Diego went as far as to tell people how they can fool the system and vote, even if they aren't a Citizen (personally, it would be shocking to me if someone could pull it off, but then again maybe in San Diego it wouldn't be so shocking). As Mr. Corsi states, the current Administration is enhancing and furthering NAFTA, which by my estimation isn't so hot politically nowadays when plants move south of the border, costing Americans their livelihoods.

With a new Democratic Congress moving into place, we should probably see more movement in this direction, with the pseudo-liberal McCain and the uber-liberal Kennedy recently agreeing that US Citizenship is sort of overrated in their quest to reward people who give the USA the finger. At least it will be overt, rather than murky and hard to pin down for most of us.

Who is controlling this? Most of the buzz deals with the hopelessly misplaced "humanism" that is so popular in Liberal circles, and is championed by some Republican Moderates as well. We are well aware that Laws mean nothing. The real story though, and the thing that really does have the most impact for all of us, is the way Big Business has their hands around the throats of the Politicians, manipulating them into screwing hard working folks right here in the USA. I don't think there is a chance in Hell the Democrats are going to do anything substantial to fix this, although they will get in front of a Microphone and jabber on about how upset and enraged they are. Their pockets are lined with the same money.

How long will it be until the NAU is formalized? I'll take a stab - 50 years or so, because it is not a hot prospect politically, and because it will take some time to put the things in place economically and socially which will make it the obvious thing to do.

Trump Left His Fucking Balls in Jersey

Yes, it's true! That coke-snorting (allegedly), underage binge drinking (allegedly), so-called role model Tara something or other gets to keep her Miss USA crown. Apparently the Miss USA pageant isn't about being a role model at all, and the bosses at the top are doing nothing but making excuses!

What the fuck is this now, the NFL?

The only logical and correct assumption to make is that Miss Powdernose is either a current or future Trump pole-greaser. Not that I expect little girls to start popping candy pills, drinking juice martinis or simulating a blow job on one of their dolls, but seriously, give me a fucking break Miss Tara, you're a sad joke of a role model now, and why should someone look up to you? Why would a little girl listen to you now?

I love the drink and the drugs as much as any degenerate like yourself Tara but I didn't get oodles of cash, nor did I get fame, or limitless opportunity in life for nothing else than being a pretty top notch cut of ass. So spare me the fucking excuses, and Trump, you fucking worm, where did your balls go? I didn't think the Miss USA pageant could get any lower until today.

You wouldn't let any of your executives get away with this shit, would you? Hell no you wouldn't. Your judgment is being clouded by the beauty and firmness of this southern whore. She's more fit to win the Blue Ribbon at the Lexington Cattle Show than Miss USA. Get a grip on your fucking franchise, Don!

XoXoXoXo,
Jason

Comings and Goings

Oh, my beloved fan base, I have neglected you for so long.

There are so many things I want to write about, but it will probably take too many entries, and too much time. Just a few things I'm thinking about right now:

The thing with the new girl is going well, although I still have insecurities sneaking up on me, like what will she think when she knows I was in, ahem, "treatment" for various things, what will she think when she finds out I have depression, what will she think when she learns that I ruined my credit trying to maintain a relationship with Philly girl, you know, things like that. It's not that I'm purposefully hiding these things from her - they just have never come up, but this stuff sometimes causes some anxiety.

The new job is going well. I'm doing fine. Things are rolling along, and my financial situation is getting better, although I've been very impatient. Once you get a taste of money you begin to like it, and I don't care if you're an all out capitalist pig or a red commie, you like having more money in your pocket. So far as much as the job is concerned I am very happy. At first I was a little miffed that Roswell never even sent me a "Fuck you, we hate you, goodbye" e-mail, which is extraordinarily unprofessional, actually shockingly so, not to mention that I know I was a good candidate. In the end though I am happy because I know I ended in a situation that fits me perfectly, and I'm making just as much cash.

Yes, of course, one political tidbit to think about. A british "lord", and no I won't capitalize it you fucking pagans, sent an open letter to two of our Senators (Snowe and Rockefeller) rebuking them for telling Exxon to stop funding scientists who are skeptical of AGW. The link to the article is here:

- At first I was pissed off that some bloke is trying to tell us how to run our government. After all the British have plenty of things to worry about, like London becoming one of the seats of the new ummah.

- Then I realized, wait a second, this bloke is absolutely right. What the hell business do Snowe and Rockefeller have trying to tell ANYONE what they can't and can't fund, no matter how unpopular it may be? The lad is right, this is entirely undemocratic. I suppose Snowe and Rockefeller are going to immediately write to people and start asking they stop funding the AGW zealots, yeah? This is the real problem with Climate Science - it isn't science itself, which always evolves and changes and corrects itself, rather the insidious way that politicos creep in and demand that science come to the conclusion that fits their politics. Now, what of the funding? If you're going to do something with the funding, you do it across the board, you don't single people out. I don't think it's good that special interests fund the science, because they will always demand that they get something for their money, and I don't care who it is, Exxon or someone on the other side. The politics and the money have absolutely ruined this for us, and there is far too much at stake to have reinvented fuckups like Al Gore, or sitting Senators, or friggin ExxonMobil of all organizations to stick their noses into it.

Lock the scientists in a room, only allow them funding that Congress will approve, have the process be entirely transparent, and let the scientists hash it out.
