Star Trek Update

Thanks to everyone who signed up, I just purchased 8 tickets.

If you are listed below, and something happens to keep you from coming, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can arrange someone else to fill the spot.

- Mr. Mike +1

- Heidi

- Carolinian +1

- James & Jim

Cost is $14/per ticket, payable to me in cash at the theater ;)

If you'd still like to come with us, tickets are still available - buy for the 4:35PM Saturday 5/9 Showtime at the IMAX Regal Theater in Amherst. I don't know when they will sell out, but they will sell out at some point in the next week.

I plan on getting to the theater early-ish to try to reserve a row of seats together, so we don't get stuck waaaay upfront.

Thanks! Really looking forward to this!

PS: I'd like to go for dinner after the show is over, so if you'd like to buy me and James dinner in exchange for the tickets we can work something out :)

Star Trek

Who would like to go see Star Trek, at the IMAX theater in Amherst, at 4:35pm on Saturday May 9th?

I will be pre-ordering tickets tonight, so let me know if you're coming. You'll owe my $14 if you come, I'll front the money to make sure we get a block of tickets.

Yuck.

My ADD medication has mostly stopped working, after 4 months of awesomeness it's started to slowly ramp down. Tolerance, I think? Also it gives me really bad headaches lately.

So the doctor today switched me from Strattera to Adderall, which is an amphetamine and so a different chemical family. We'll see. Hopefully I don't feel cracked out when I'm on it.

I miss being consistent.

Star Trek

Does anyone want to go see Star Trek at the Imax on May 8th (Fri) or May 9th (Sat)? Friday showtime would be around 7pm, Saturday in the early afternoon or evening.

If you're up for it, let me know. If there's interest and we can agree on when, I'll buy a block of tickets when they're available and you can pay me back at the theater. IMAX tickets are $14 for adults. If no one wants to see it at that price I guess I'd be up for seeing it non-IMAX, which would cost $10/each.

Really looking forward to this!

Neither Have You Tasted My Jesus

VenomFangX's Official Website

You are either: A person who claims to have experienced God, who says atheism is false because of their experience, or a person who claims to have had no experience of God, who says theism (belief in God) is false because of their lack of experience. Is lack of experience really a good way to form a world view? Atheism is ignorance, nothing more.

Seriously??

How about this.

"You are either a person who claims to have experienced God's non-existence, who says God is false because of their experience, or a person who claims to have belief in God, who says disbelief of God is false because of their lack of experience. Is lack of experience really a good way to form a world view? Faith in God is ignorance, nothing more." -- me, just now

If your argument is such vapid nonsense that you can fill in the blanks with any old abstract thing, maybe you have a problem with rational thought, and the only logic you're capable of understanding is circular.

'Neither have you tasted my Jesus'? I mean seriously. Aaarrgh.

That the argument above is used to justify creationism and Biblical literalism makes my head explode. Ignorance of God is shameful, but not just ignorance but willful ignorance of science is a well formed world view? SCIENCE, HAVE YOU TASTED IT?

I don't think even Jesus ever tasted that Jesus.
