The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass is coming out soon, and I can't wait to see it. Anyone up for going as an (e:strip) gang? Just watch out for those atheistic overtones, you might want to keep small children away lest they be corrupted.

E:Strip Holiday Dinner

Welcome to this week's reminder post for the (E:Strip) Holiday Dinner, to be held on December 13th ( a Thursday), at 24 Linwood. Graciously hosted by (e:Matthew), (e:Paul), and (e:Terry).

If you can come, please bring a dish, leave a comment with what you'd like to volunteer to make or buy. There is still plenty of time to decide, I'll post every 4 or 5 days between now and the week of the party just to keep things moving.

Hope to see you all there!

Home From The Holidays

Well we got back last night from our long weekend away at (e:James)' family's house. Nice relaxing weekend, definitely feel better after talking some time off and away from the computer. It's a bit weird that I never see my family anymore, what with James' family being so much closer to us then my Dad, we tend to spend all the holidays at his family's. And then the extended family I still have in Buffalo, I never see at holidays because we're out of town. Hoping to get out west soon though, and reconnect with my relatives here in town.

On the other hand, I had intended to get at least *some* work done to keep this week from being too insane, but I had no cell reception and wasn't able to connect my laptop to the wifi in their house. Grrr. They live just outside of the NYC area, in Putnam county, and I don't understand why they have no cell reception. It's just housing for as far as the eye can see. No idea why the wifi wasn't working though, pain in the ass, that.

Head Gonna Asplode

I was off this afternoon, just in a fog and less then productive, think I need some time off. Going to go out for a drink tonight and staying away from the computer.

Had this great idea for something today though, hard to let it go. Will just file it away until this weekend. Turning a problem inside out and maybe solving it much easier? We'll see.

Draaaaaank. Then sleep. Yup.

The Third Magisterium

Greg Knauss:

"Starting now, I do. I declare myself the world's primary expert in questions so stupid that they lack any sort of meaning other than reasonably correct grammar."
