treelesschristmas

I am still without a tree. this turns my smile upside down. I took two trains and two buses to find a tree that ended up not existing.the ones that were left over were very undesirable. and this year, since I moved, I had to throw away my dead ficus that I strung up ala "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" fashion last year (see pic)

"santa baby...slip a sable under the tree for me ((wait I don't have one!))
Santa baby, so hurray down the chimney tonight!!!
think of all the fun I missed, think of the fellas that I haven't kissed.
next year I could be just as good, if you just make my christmas wish!
booboobobob, santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight"

Today is my sister's Birthday. It seems that as we get older, we seem to catch up and sometimes pass our elders. Who knew she would be the first to get married and have cutey pie babies? I think I am still in shock! Babies!!! Married!!! What??? Middle children always seem to surprise ya'!

I hope she had a happy day! I miss the babies!!! :(

Congrats (e:Chaibiscoot) on becoming an Auntie!!! It's so much fun! :)

Friday evening: venegeful sloth

well i finally made it to that place called "paycheck"
still playing it cool. it may be war soon. underhanded
sneakyness kind of war. my boss hasn't said
jack about when he will release me for my new
gig. I am a patient broad and an understanding one too!
but come on, don't walk around and avoid shit like the
plague. So i had to vent by 4:30pm. I call my friend back
in the blo...I stood outside in the cold for almost an hour
without a coat since I have buffalo winterized blood now -
just letting it all out... why do people have nasty attitudes?
why are people unhelpful? why are people self concerned only?
why do people suck? why do you have to do almost everything
yourself when you shouldn't? blah blah blah I finally had to get on the train
after being approached by the less desireables. "no I don't
want whats in that bag!"
so my friend does some digging and searching and informs me
that they could keep me from taking the promotion by deeming
me a "critical element" - I am a hostage!!!!
whatevah!!! I will continue to remain patient by
another day or two and then its on...

So I had to treat myself - no more leftovers; Sushi and Red Wine for the Queen.

I like when people are upfront and honest. I give you the same respect
so I feel that I deserve no less than the same.

these same feelings
transfer to relationships and such. All this talk about good guys and bad boys...
I have seen them all. I have done my share of heart break but probably not
as much as the opposite has tried to fling my way. The worst is "Bad Boy" in
good guys clothing. Boy, I must say I fell for that one. ((Even though I detect the bad boy charm, its just that "charm"))

I get stung by a great smile, wit and blimp size ego almost instaneously
((oh no, i have given away the achilles heel))
However often before, No more now. I am on hiatus!

addictions solved-paysumone$$$

(e:Paul) this article is popping up everywhere! I read it last week here and they also stated that they have "centers" to help you kick the addiction. Now at these centers they advertise that they do SWAB testing to see if you are staying on the track or if you are slippin' java sips from under your behind bushes. its craziness. coffee is a HUGE industry. life without java would be pretty void - i guess there's always pot. oh wait, I don't know how to smoke or inhale. 8*

in other reports: my manager sported all black today just after I informed him my time was up yesterday. this was unusual; so people stated.

there was also a bake sale today@work: I got to see people from upstairs who are in national office. there were a couple of cuties! couldn't tell if they were rebel bad boys or good ole charmers. who cared-they were cute!

bot sum fuge&ait sum fuge- paken ahn da lbs. luts begen dae sevun of turkee dae lefovahs!

enough nonsense;
(e:lilho) I sang that diddy throughout the day. so between the fudge and the pie - I will definitely have too much booty in da pants!!! :)

new stuff

I got a new job today!!! :) My commute will be longer :(
but I think it's totally worth it - at least for the short
while. who knows. I beamed all day. yet it was hard
to break the news to my new boss of oh 20 some
odd days now... I was just getting things organized
for them. c'est la vie! opportunity knocks and so
does the bill collector! so mo money mo money mo money (lol)
besides i need to get some dental work done (TMI) :-#
I should not have eaten the majority of the pecan pie from Thanksgiving!
oh and the key lime cake with cream cheese frosting.

and yes (e:Ajay) [inlink]ajay,189[/inlink] I thought NY was the
leading tax monger but I was shocked. Hopefully these biotchas get
my $$$ straight next week!!!

Anyway, I want to go out for (e:peep) night - wah 8*
the good guys vs the bad boys sounds interesting.
can there be themed music?

"Summer lovin' had me a blast
Summer lovin', happened so fast
I met a girl crazy for me
I met a boy, cute as can be

Summer days driftin' away,
To uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
Did you get very far?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Like, does he have a car? ((I need one of those right now ""wink""))
Tell me more, tell me more,
Was it love at first sight?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Did she put up a fight?
Took her bowlin' in the Arcade
We went strollin', drank lemonade
We made out under the dock
we stayed up until ten o'clock

Summer fling don't mean a thing,
But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
But you don't gotta brag
Tell me more, tell me more,
Cause he sounds like a drag

He got friendly, holdin' my hand
Well she got friendly, down in the sand
He was sweet, just turned eighteen
Well she was good, you know what I mean

Summer heat, boy and girl meet,
But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
How much dough did he spend?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Could she get me a friend?
It turned colder, that's where it ends
So I told her we'd still be friends
Then we made our true love vow
Wonder what she's doin' now

Summer dreams ripped at the seams,
But oh, those summer nights"

Thankfulnesses'

hmmm. Its interesting that we bring this point up. I can see most of the sides presented;
I was very thankful this morning for being relatively healthy and able. tired nonetheless, but able!
I see so many people everyday and the challenges they face that are outwardly shown.
The whole talk of depression is something that isn't necessarily always visible outward challenge. But doesn't it still exist?
For whatever reason, weather/job/finances/family/lack of direction/loneliness etc, these things definitely affect us all and differently.
we don't face nearly half the challenges that others in this world face, but we cannot discount the feelings we have. I agree it is necessary to be thankful often times and not down all the time. but many have pointed out interesting points to validate the gloom.

Cheer up Everyone! I wish I were there to spread a smile or two : )
I am too tired to think or write - I wish I had more energy; (e:Dan), I agree with an earlier post of yours...the working amongst the regulars..

oh one more thing to be thankful for: My aunt and uncle are coming to spend Thanksgiving Day with me. Last year I went on strike from my local buffalo family and refused to cook or entertain as I felt I was being taken advantage of. I stayed home in my pj's all day; watched the parade; talked to some crazy dudes, and watch Auntie Mame while eating leftover pasta. oh so lame o licious. this time, a year later, life is different; whether in small or big increments-I will embrace it.

enough rambling-i get quite delusional when exhaustion kicks in...
nighty night
