lights out - flood pt. II

So, here we are, another sunday eve battling mother nature and her torrential rain drops and wind storms. I am sitting here in bed by candlelight hoping an after breeze blows through to cool things down. I went to a cookout that was quickly rained out.So we hung out inside. But only a few hrs later to be faced with darkness... so being a little too happy to drive home, I hung out on the hammock until the rains forced us back inside. A few more hrs later, I thought i'd journey home. While driving, the lights on route 1 went out and for the first time in my life, I saw live power lines burst into sparks along with it's own sound effects! Naturally I scream and begin to panic that chaos would soon ensue. I speed home. I'm tired. I pull into my residential area to find no power present on this side of town either. In addition, there is a gargantuous fallen tree in the area where i'd normally park my car. Thankfully Sebastian & I were not here when the disaster struck and we were not harmed. However, I still began to laugh in some weird form of hysteria. For you see, just last Sunday I was stuck inbetween Maryland & D.C. in a worst storm than today's showers. Me and my friend drove around for hours trying to cross ever bridge I could think of...
But due to severe flooding, all of the bridges were shut down. The city rats were roaming the upper street levels, tractor trailers were speeding down the city/residential street areas, cars were turning completely around on the expressway; It was all to crazy! But definitely an adventure. I'm glad that I wasn't alone & that my friend L-S kept me going. Even if we sang "Walk this Way" & Garth Brooks at 4am!
what a wet week this has been. I am definitely saddened by the individuals who suffered great losses and some even death : (
I pray the worst is over...

power outages

so I am sitting here in the dark with no power. In and out of a half slumber, I heard a loud kaboom... then darkness fell over the room. luckily, one wall seems to have juice. this happens to be the computer wall. too bad my pc is a bunch of crap that i've tried to reboot for the past hour! so I can charge my cell, bake a cake (if I had eggs) and brew a pot of coffee if need be... The refrigerator didn't make the juiced side of kitchen. good thing I ordered in last night instead of buying $20 worth of groceries...

sick again

back to work after yet another bout of food poisoning! seriously, I seemed to have encountered more salmonella, botulism, etc. here than ever in my life! the chicken ceasar wrap from the deli @ work did me in... I was sick in less than an hour & I had the works! Still a little queasy with tummy rumbles today. But I packed my bananas, jello and gatorade to go. Gotta make some money. My brother in law suggested that I sue. Others @ work have been struck by the same place in the past...

metro freaks

I am seriously tired of the metro train freaks who push their tools in my face in the morning while I try to read the paper and forget about the terrible commute; I also hate the pervs who sit next to me who try to feel me up inconspicuously; AS IF!!!! Yesterday I had to get off the train because this man kept trying to feel my legs up. YUCK! I was utterly grossed out. It's too early in the AM to deal with such foolishness.

Everyone seems to thing that my balls have rescinded because of my mild mannered attempts of handling these situations. I just try not to cause commotion on an overly packed train. I am trying to plot my escape; Esp when sandwiched in a seat. Yesterday I ran so fast I nearly knocked people down in pursuit of a safety zone! "Outta my way, PERV in train car #6!!!"

It's so weird because there are all of these CL missed connections

from on the train & it's passerbys. Are they all freaks too? Probably!!!

I need to make a t-shirt with terms stiched across the boobage area: "FREAKS NOT APPLY" or "PEPPER SPRAY KEEPS FREAKS @ BAY"

waaah

working out wears me out but I want to lose weight. sounds like a common theme around the estrip community. I guess I had too much fun on the town in the past year which has taken a toll on my little frame : (
or maybe its the long ass daily commute which I cannot complain enough about...Friday=2.5 hrs to get to work. Another 1+ hr to get home.

I should be asleep instead of posting. But I'd like to spend some part of the day with relaxation time.

Abs were hard tonight but well worth the pain : )

I hope I stay on track and get rid of 2lbs a week. I'd be happier and I wouldn't look like star jones.

I enjoy the workout but I feel so out of freakin' shape. This is the ultimate goal - to get back into shape so that I can join the adult gymnastics gym and look hot to boot!!! I can't wait to have rock hard abs so I can mount the parallel bars and twirl to my hearts content <sigh>

the love of the season

I love the start of the summer months.
more walkabouts, cool patio dining,did I mention excellent summer wines! I seriously hope it doesn't suck this year. But I guess that's up to me to make it the best.
anyway, I'm hitting the tail end of the dc film fest this week. so many choices in a day.
gotta go to the gym too and I barely have time for both. hmmm... want to look great but want to enrich the senses too. oh well, can't have it all; or can you?

After taking a quick peek at my bank funds, I tallied that I have spent $66.00 in freaking gasoline this week alone! $12 on sunday night. $23 on tuesday & $31 on wednesday night...
