Edinburgh and The HOFF

Brits like cheesy things.
Like David Hasselhoff.....I recently read an interview with him in some British magazine and they described the aging C-list celeb as "undeniabley cool".
I've also had to spend some time recently in a couple of dance clubs.....Jon Bon Jovi, Abba, whoever sings "If you think I'm Sexy", oh, not to mention the dance compilation from Grease.
And their tv shows.......oh my gosh... I can't even get into that right now, not nearly enough time.

However, I have found amusement in the unabashed embracing of all things cheesy (even if my incolvement in said embracing is restricted to merely a witness)
And I have been finding solice in anticipation of some great shows coming up.....even if I have to venture out alone:
T on the Fringe (rip off of T in the Park - yes) is coming up in August and some great acts are coming, I really hope to catch a ton of shows ....Yo La Tengo...wooooohooooo, Magic Numbers, the Pixies (that's right Viscaroonie, end of August drag your scrawny bum out to visit)....lots of other great bands....
Also, Rilo Kiley is playing I think on July 8th and you had better believe I shall be there.
I am curious to see how attending a concert by myself will go.....
Will there be a complete mental breakdown?.....willl I latch on to the nearest stranger and insist on instantaneous best-friendship....I really wouldn't put either of these reactions past myself....

I miss everyone so very much....

Edinburgh is BEAUTIFUL.....the weather has been fantastic the past few days.

The job hunt continues for this girlie......

mmmm...taco

......wait, that doesn't have sexual conotations does it?....

Anyways, I've just finished eating a rather tasty taco in the UB Library......
I had to be real sneaky about it though because there is clearly a "No Food or Drink" sign in right in front of me.....

A girls gotta do what she's gotta do... and I HAD to eat a taco.

I also had to dip the taco into sour cream......a very messy endeavor...
At one point I made direct eye contact with one of the library staff....and we both stared....politely ignoring the small dallop of sour cream that had found it's way out of my taco and onto the tip of my chin.....

what a crazy life I lead.

Long Day......

Classes have begun.....
....And I find myself yet again desperately scrambling to find classes I can tolerate .
......Mabye I'm to picky....

errrrr.....

I'm contemplating taking a class on the Holocaust and Jewish Law because it fits into my schedule.......
Something tells me it's not the kind of class you take out of convenience......
So mabye not.

A dirty old man tried to pick me up the other day.....he followed me out of Amvets (bad way to start dude)........he seemed genuinely shocked that I turned him down......... do I look old?......... mabye I don't want to hear the answer...

Concerts in Toronto

King's of Convenience: They're swell.......if Iron and Wine and Simon and Garfunkle made sweet, sweet love, and nine months later Simon and Garfunkle gave birth to a sweet little boy......this is what he would sound like.
CHeck them out at Lee's Place, Feb. 17th.....
(It's only 13 bucks, Canadian, so even us cheap kids can swing it)

I'm a loser......a big loser, :( :(
I put off things until what I deem the "very last minute"......of course inevitabley the "very last moment" turns out to be several moments too late to get anything done.
