Peeeennsylvania, Peeennsylvania

Yes I just got back from PA for some good old family and priest time. That sounds strange but I'm too lazy to elaborate.

So, this summer has been fairly relaxing... I started work, well ok one day. My second is tomorrow. Haven't seen the gang much but getting up early will do that I suppose. There will be many good times for all to come, so I am not worried. Can't wait for this weekend...the annual parade partay...oh yeah, we know how to kick it. P-A-R-T-Y...fiesta..yesss. And someone with a round face is coming from Albany. :0) Soo it should be fun. As long as we get the house clean and my dad doesn't kill us all in the process.

I feel that I write about myself too much. This isn't really like livejournal yet I treat it like one a bit? I guess there's no guidelines. I was thinking the other day how funny it is that it really is so easy to get into bars even if you aren't 21. I have many underage friends that have had many bar and club experiences. Why do I think that's funny? Who knows? I suppose turning 21 isn't that exciting for some then. Of course then you get to go BUY alcohol at a store, and that is fun.

All right I'm tired. Isn't it wierd how travelling can be so tiring? I mean all you do is like sit down for a long period of time. Goodnight folks.

the boys of summer

yay, I second Mike's love of summer. Although I was a senior citizen friend and in my pajams even before 10 o'clock...quarter to, maybe? And now I'm continuing that sexy look, sporting a hot sundress that is several sizes too big with wet hair and no undies. Ooooh, what an image.

Summer is a super grrrrreat thing, and tomorrow I get to start work and have to start being a senior citizen like every day. Woo...weekends will be better than ever.

Anyone want some ice cream later...I think I could go for some...what a shock.

yay

Ok so I found a job since that entry. Granted it wasn't terribly difficult to find. Not too much effort was put forth. But MK is employed, nonetheless!

p.s. I love Tully's. And I won the contest of people fair and square! boooooya

HELP!

Ok I've tried several times to upload a sound for my userpic or whatever. It is being dumb!! The file is a 124 K mp3 file. I go through all the steps and it brings me back to the first page, and I click on my picture and I hear the creepy Mac voice saying I haven't uploaded a sound yet. Help!

and all that jazz

So last night I went to see Jane Monheit. If you've never heard of her, first of all you're lucky. Second of all, she's a jazz singer who is fairly popular. She has a couple albums and performs in Manhattan a lot. We saw her in Jamestown and we were pretty excited.

I will take this opportunity to invite everyone on Earth to NEVER buy anything that might possibly give her money and NEVER EVER go see her in concert. It was the most disappointing, ridiculous concert I've ever been to. True, she has a nice voice...good singer. But last time I checked, having a pleasant voice didn't make you the greatest person to ever walk the planet. And I truly believe she felt this way.

What bothered me most is that the whole thing was all an act. She was so fake. Everything was fake. During every song there was an opportunity for one of the band members to solo (badly) and she would take this opportunity to shake her hips, dry hump the piano, run her hands through her hair, toss her head back like she was having a you-know-what, make all these faces like the music was really moving her...and it was so obnoxious. I almost felt like it was borderline inappropriate.

And the way she talked to the crowd...oh it was just so phony. Even the band was terrible. They were just competing with each other - no chemistry at all.

It was such a disappointing concert. Never even think about seeing her or recommending her to someone. I feel really bad for the people in the audience who thought it was a great musical experience because it was all so cheesy and fake and DUUUUMMMMBBBB!!!!!

ahh, funny emails

True Story...

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping, and upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"

The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why.

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the Police station. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun. No charges were filed.
