Catsup
After our trip out into the real world last night, Felly and I came home and I played Frogger for the first time in my life. Yes indeed, I have been living in a hole in the ground for the last 24 years. I am one of those people who is always the last to find out about the coolest new shit, whether it be because I don't care or possibly because I am too concerned with the last cool thing I just discovered that came out like 3 years ago. Either way, I played Frogger and discovered that I enjoy it a great deal and found myself being rather competitive, which is weird for me because I hate sports and for the most part hate competition, but I think Felly thought it was cute. She still kicked my ass.
Speaking of which, I know it might be a little early for this yet, but the one sport I do enjoy is skiing and I recently got Felly to fall in line. Anyone here ski...or snowboard? I can't snowboard for shit because I refuse to learn after one initial attempt and a week's worth of bruised ass cheeks, but I still think it's really cool and am jealous because of the cool boots you get to wear. Either way, we need a place that has some easy hills for Felly and some fairly difficult ones for me, cause I like to go fast :)
Alright, looks like I can talk after all. I am excited for tonight's event at the Albright Knox. I have this thing where I tend to be afraid of going to new places, so it's always good to have someone coming along who knows what they are doing. Also, Felly's birthday is on Sunday...any suggestions of a nice, not too expensive place to take her? I would like a place with an outdoor option if it is nice weather, but am really open to suggestions, even off the strip. I know she is going to read this but that's fine. I keep saying, so uh, where you wanna go? and not getting anywhere, so I thought I'd throw it out there to you folks.
Okeedokee. Peace out.

Thanks for all the info on the park. I think we shall certainly be taking a trip out there next week sometimes. All your pics look beautiful and worth the drive.
We drenched our bathtub in Tilex mildew remover and I think I'm slowly losing brain cells with every breath I take. I think Felly likes it. Hmm...how to do that neat little link thing to the person? I will have to ask her once she gets off the phone.
For now...

Hello Again
So, first of all I would like to thank all the folks who came out last night and made us feel so welcome. It was fabulous to do a little socializing and good to find some seamingly down to earth people.
Sooooo...I was thinking while the weather is nice I would like to do some hiking, and I've heard of some canyon outside if Buffalo that is crazy huge...I don't know what it's called but someone referred to it as the Grand Canyon of the East. Anyone know what I am talking about and where it is? I certainly would also take suggestions as to other good places to get out of the city. I must admit, I am a country girl as I've never lived in a city before, so I need a little nature in my life to keep me sane.
Also, now that I have met some of you and know that you are in fact real human beings, I think I might be more inclined to be a part of this community.
Now, back to Animal Planet.

We're going over to see Othello in Delaware Park tonight. It's free! You should check it out, if not tonight, then sometime this week.
Oh, and there's a meteor shower tonight - we're driving out to the country late tonight to see it. That might be nice birthday treat. :)
If you like Thai and Vietnamese, the Saigon Cafe on the strip (right by India Gate, actually) has always done right by us... and they have a wee patio.
Have fun at the gallery tonight. Nice place. I liked the pop art photos (pop porraits). Freaked me out to see Andy Warhol with dark hair. And the James Turrell light installation is like stepping into a new dimention -- i love that one!
And i'm with you on the stupid humans being mean to sweet doggies. So wrong, so very very wrong.
the frogger game in question
happens to be a Playstation I game. Which I mention only because the rest of the gaming world has moved on to Playstation III. or PS3.
but it is indeed very cute when you grumble about it.
