Advocate for free FICO score

Currently the only reliable way to get your FICO score is to pay $19.95 on myfico.com.

Consumer Reports is encouraging people to write to their reprepsentatives to change it so we all have access to a free ACCURATE FICO score once per year. I think this is a good idea and would really help our entire nation to be better informed.

If you are interested, Consumer Reports makes it easy to send a request to your legislators via this link:

In the meantime, they advise to avoid getting your FICO score from anyone other than myfico.com.

If you just want a free credit report but not the score you can go to annualcreditreport.com

AnnualCreditReport.com is a centralized service for consumers to request free annual credit reports. It was created by the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

AnnualCreditReport.com provides consumers with the secure means to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act).

Mommie Dearest

I find myself very angry at a dead woman and I'm feeling kinda guilty about these feelings cause she's dead. I'm pissed at the mother of the guy who went and killed all those people, the mother who is now dead.

I think the problem comes down to her feeling entitled, she had all this money and she could buy whatever she wanted and she did. She felt powerless, so she bought weapons that gave her the power she desperately lacked but that ultimately become her own awful demise.

Of course, we had to protect her freedom, her freedom to have these weapons that she didn't need but wanted to fill her own inadequacy, her void.

She had her freedom, she tried to buy things that she couldn't, control, power, whatever it was she sought with those weapons and now here we are...

Stuck forever in a small town high school

This is what someone I went to school with recently posted on FB. No wonder I was so unhappy. Does any one know what a VPS daughter is?

Fall shoreline Sweep

Is this Saturday. Unfortunately, I'm not going to participate because of a wedding we're going to on that day. It really sucks because I really like doing it and I didn't go to the spring cleanup either so I could see my grandparents. Maybe I'll do some work on my own on Friday.

I really don't think simply picking up trash is enough because it doesn't fix the problem. Not really sure what the answer is though.

Sad

I'm still so sad that our cottage was washed away. It turns out that my Grammy is dying too. I feel really bad that a good friend of mine won't talk to me anymore. I'm also really sad that another good friend can't find work and is risking losing everything, and I also know someone close to me that was made to go from full to part time status. Another dear friend needs to leave her home of 46 years...

There is a lot of good stuff too, but right now I am sad for the things that make people sad.

If these things didn't make you sad then something would be wrong with you.... I'm not going to go as far as to say embrace the sad and watch those animal abuse ads or find sad songs to listen to.... But for some people that does get the sad out and 4 hours or 8 hours later they feel better.... Again I don't encourage that it works for some... But if it might make things worse don't try it....
