Ok, so hodown's hello kitty story reminded me of some randomness.

Yesterday I was on the yahoo homepage, and in addition to the thai police/hello kitty story, they also had this one:

"Boy feels 'ripped off' by cougar attack"

basically this kid was attacked by a cougar, and is just pissed that it disrupted his vacation.

And another...
So there are some sick wealthy areas in my hometown.
Including this one 'estate', called Gray Craig. Growing up we knew some people that lived in the carriage house or something, but I've never been further than that and have never even seen the main house or anything. It's really fancy- 12 bedrooms and 24,000 sq ft or something like that.

In any case. Apparently Nicholas Cage just bought the place- for something like $16 million. My dad says it's been in the newspaper like every day.

Well this weekend my parents went to a party at some friends' house, which happens to be across the street, and a car carrier pulled up to unload SIX of his cars. Lamborghinis, Ferraris etc. Apparently he owns 14 houses or something, but I guess they think that since he's actually keeping some cars at this one, that he might actually be planning on spending some time there.

Not that I especially love Nicholas Cage, but I think he'd be the most famous person we've had live in town.

and I share in leetee's kitchen envy. I bet that Cage character doesn't even cook. First the friend with the super awesome kitchen and non-existent cooking skills and now this celebrity with a totally non-deserved kitchen. *Pfffft*

Nicholas Cage is awesome. Not that I know him or anything but I like his acting style and that he comes off kinda odd, but that is just me.

Can you blame the kid? I'd be pissed too if my vacation was ruined (actually I think this is really funny and an example of what idiots people are. He not glad to be alive, but irritated by a ruined vacation)

what a shitty night

Sigh...
I'm in yet another of those horrible "woe is me nobody loves me" moods and I hate it.

But I've also been told that it's "very unattractive" to whine about it...

So I'll spare you the details-

I'll just say that I jumped through many hoops, turned down invitations, and pissed off friends and family to get this weekend off to help my 'friend' with his charity event out of town. Not to mention it was his birthday and I was hoping to spend it with him.

And then he left without me, and wouldn't answer his phone for the rest of the day.

So I had this long-anticipated entire weekend off...

alone...

in Buffalo...

The glorious grand finale was when my friends had to escort me out of mother's at 1am in a full-blown crying jag. Blotch-faced, snot-nosed, blubbering tears. In the middle of Mother's.

LOVELY.

And the thing is, i'm not even sure what triggered it. Well I have a clue.

I fucking hate boys.
But I love them.
Or at least one of them.
And he couldn't care less.
And it hurts.

Yeah, i agree with everyone else... except for the slapping you or hitting you stuff.

Why you are willing to put up with someone treating you so badly is puzzling to me. This is the time in the relationship when any guy should be trying to win you over, courting you and convincing you to be with him.

I so hope it's not because you think that's the best you can get!! Or that you don't deserve any better!

I've been there, way too many times with me being head over heels with the guy that doesn't feel the same about me. It hurts. It kills. It tortures. But staying with him only makes it worse. And whittles away your self esteem while doing it.

So? Whatcha waiting for? Dump him now or you will have a bunch of (e:strip)pers willing to do the deed for you... and i bet most of us will be a lot less nice!

For what it's worth, I'm sorry about the situation. You're very invested and he can't seem to give a shit. That kind of thing is what gives my gender a bad name. I can only imagine that frustration. The true friends know what started it. We all want that feeling of getting excited to see somebody, your heart skipping a beat as you got closer to the door, etc.

Doesn't sound like this is meant to be and sounds more like you are torturing yourself into believing he'll suddenly change or realize just how good he has it.

Cut him loose and cut yourself some slack

Ok guys, any opinions?

Photobucket vs flickr vs picasa

Flickr has a nice little iphoto plugin to upload easily.
I think picasa might too, but I haven't tried it yet
And I like how in photobucket it gives all the links for embedding pix in blogs, forums, websites etc- you just click and it automatically copies it.
I don't know if the others do that.

Does anyone use these?

Pros/cons?

Hmm. I've always used Photobucket and have never had any complaints.... and as such I've never bothered to try any of the others.

I think I'll try Flickr and see how it goes, just for kicks! (woop)

I like Photobucket and I like Picasa too. Picasa has additional photo manipulation tools which are really handy and simple to use. I haven't tried Flickr out yet.
