Dying to make a will

Yeah, So I was going to have a will drawn up tomorrow but we're supposed to get all this snow right when I have to go the stupid burbs and all over the city. I'm canceling my appointment, wouldn't that be crazy if I died going to get my will?

In case you are wondering, it's going to (e:Mike). I'm being buried in a pine box right away without embalming...I like forest lawn if they are still doing the green burial.

Goodbye Maureen

Today I saw (e:maureen)’s obituary and it kinda gave me a gasp, it was just so real, when it hasn't seemed real at all. Maureen would never have been in my life if it weren't for Mike, and Mike and I are still together because of Maureen. I’m so fortunate to have realized, before it was too late, that I love Mike so much, and I can’t imagine what it would be like without him. Maureen compliments Mike in such a beautiful way, and now there is a part of Mike that is missing, and it is so hard to know, and see, how much pain he is in.

I’m so thankful to be a small part of Maureen’s life; I wish her well wherever she is. To all who loves her, I wish you comfort and lasting memories of her true beauty.

Life

Mike and I had to move cause our lords wanted us out to make the house into a single family home and I never found a house to buy. Now we are both unhappy and separate and having major adjustment issues. Things could be worse and they are.

It's so much easier when you have really awesome friends and family. We need you so much more than you know. I'm sorry for not being as good a friend as you all are to me. I love you all, we love you all!

my first bid on a house

I bid on a house on Lafayette and west ave. I lost the bid to a buyer paying cash. I did have a good vision for the home.

It's all about being in the right place at the right time, and you have to stay in the market to make that happen. Things usually work out the way they do for a reason, so don't worry too much when the one you think you want gets away. (I guess that applies to not only house hunting, but in dating too.) Sometimes there are things wrong with houses (and men) that are not apparent on the surface, and not getting what you think you want could be the best thing that ever happened to you.

Last year I probably could have gotten it for $45k based on sales of similar homes in the area. Actually there is going to be a story about the current housing market in the Buffalo News very soon and I will be quoted in it. This house does look like a wreck but it actually had a lot of charm and it had one of the best foundations I have ever seen. I'm contemplating dropping out of the market and waiting to see if it balances out.

Mine was a double on West Tupper between Maryland and Virginia Streets, and it needed zero fixing up. In fact, it had original hardwood floors, pocket doors, leaded glass windows, and amazing original woodwork. All that for only $74K. I still miss that house. My new house in Baltimore set me back five times that, literally, and has just a fraction of the charm and none of the history.
