St. Patrick's Day

The weather wasn't as nice as many of the other years but it was still quite fun. I wish I liked beer more or that the Italian festival was instead a parade where people chugged wine out of cornicppias.

My brother got me to funnel a beer through a St. Patricks horn which I am sure (e:Joe) is about to post a pic of.

Afterwards there was an impromptu bear party at our house.

The best part of all was that (e:libertad) cleaned the house while they waited for their taxi. My brother tried to take credit but we all know that's impossible.

Mardis Gras 2015

I can't believe my brother missed it. It was a great night sponsored by 19 Crimes wine. The show was pretty crazy as was the rest of the night. We tried to come home and make bean dip but ended up going right to bed.

I stole this from the Buffalo News picture but I figured its a picture of me and I am linking it, so here it is

Wrapping Gifts

I went all out with paper cutting and the glue gun this year. This is going to make (e:mike) crazy because:

A. my gifts are wrapped better unless he really steps it up.

B. He isn't going to want to open the gifts because it will destroy the wrapping.

hahaha

St Patrick's Day Parade 2013

The parade was so fun this year. Maybe it was the bottle of absinthe. I bought last month in anticipation of the green holiday.

At one point (e:libertad,57390) rode around on my shoulders for a bit.

In no particular order. What did (e:yesthatcasey) say to (e:heidi) in this first photo.

image

What's up with the big police tower this year in the gas station parking lot.
image

(e:dianne,57391) bought so many yummy breakfast treats. This was only a fraction of em, thanks.
image

(e:terry) looks so happy in this photo.
image

Maybe its whatever he is making the naughty face for here

image

(e:flacidness) and (e:robert) and me.
image
image

It was so packed dispite the cold temperature. At least it was sunny compared to today.
image
image

Iron workers - always my favorite.

image

This picture is not of (e:robert). From the back it kind of looks like him minus one hell of a lot of fur. This guy kept falling down until his pants pretty much fell off.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Time to sober up and start drinking. As far as I can tell as a non-irish observer, St. Patrick was the patron saint of drinking beer and whisky for breakfast?

Joe's Crab Shack for My Mother's Birthday

We headed to Joe's crab shack for my mother's birthday. The food was delicious but the atmosphere was a lot like Anderson's.

The cake was a delicious fruit topped cheese cake from wegman's. We got my mom the Asus transformer tablet keyboard assesory which turns the tablet we got them for christmas into a laptop. Besides being a keyboard its also a 15 hour extended battery pack.

My New Ball - New Years 2013

This year I didn't want any green wires on the outside of the ball so I started with a styrofoam ball and hallowed it out so that I could push the lights from the inside out.

image

It was so much work, I really had no idea how strong a material styrofoam was. In my head it seemed like it would be easy but it was like two people scooping for 30 minutes.

The wrapped it in foil and decorated with pipe cleaners, ornaments and glitter foam paper. Its like all those years of art school finally had a purpose.

Divali Party and Haircut

Finally cut my hair.
image

Then last night (e:samathon86) took us to a davali party in the suburbs. The food was amazing. The hostess w as so gracious. There was a turkey with cranberry chutney and lots of delicious side dishes. There were also great desserts including a pumpkin, banana creme dessert that was one of the best desserts I ever had. (e:yesthatcasey) and I also wore outfits sent by sameers mom from india.

image

image

image

image

image

I liked wearing the outfit and afterwards we hit the town and headed to DBGBs on Allen. I must have fit the part because these american girls wouldn't believe my name was Paul. They kept said things like what is your real name back home? and Don't be shy, what do your parents call you? Its really interesting to be perceived as a foreigner at home.

Fourth of July - Buffalo City Fireworks

We went back down to the outer harbor to see the fireworks. We had to bike down furiously because we didn't leave until ~10PM but we made it in time.

We got so close again. The pictures don't do justice to how in your face it was.
