I wish I had something better to say but I am in an angry mood right now.
I am going to go back to programming because it entertains me a little more than the rest of my life.
At least I am not being bombed or something horrible.

Scaffolding Is FunCategory: linwood
It's kind of like being a doozer at your own house. P.S. Can you believe there is a muppet wiki ? Who knew there were so many kinds of doozers.
Our very nice roommate Dave helped us by taking me to home depot to pick up the giant 3 story scaffolding parts.
I couldn't believe how many parts there were.
It seemed high enough at this point, lol. I am not afraid of sturdy heights, say a building or such - but a half built scaffold is a little freaky.
Then it got higher.
And higher.. There was still one more level to go, you can see it in the pic below. It is so hard to carry up the sections on the yet to be completed scaffold.
We completed on section
Here you can see when we had completed half that section. By the time we finished all the way to the brick, it was too dark to take a picture.
Who the fuck wrote this on my garage? I think I might have to kill you if I found out.

I used to hate that the Fraggles causally sauntered by and ate the scaffolding, the Doozers built with so much effort!!!

"look ma, I caught a fraggle!" Guess not only is it not easy being green, it can be pretty tough getting green.

We rented it. home depot rents it for $63/week or $219/month. I thought about buying it but it costs like $1300-$2000 for the getup I am renting.

And of course by pinata I mean I will stuff you full of candy. Because everyone loves candy!

Hi Paul, I wrote that with chalk on your garage. Someone was talking about this liquor: :::link::: while we were standing there at a party a couple months ago, and there was chalk lying on the ground and I can't remember why I wrote it. At Dave's retirement party I think. Sorry.
I am surprised it is still there, there must be an over hang protecting it from the rain.

Making a mansion turn green...Category: linwood
one dormer at a time.
We picked out colors today, and then I decided to paint one dormer to test it. We are going with greens. I think it is going to be a long journey but it should be fun and look nice, so long as I don't fall out a window.
It was so hot up there today.
I think the green looks nice. We finished more than this but we couldn't get any more pics because it got dark out.

Green and Gray is a nice combination. I shudder to think of some of the other combinations you were considering earlier. :)

I myself likes how the house looks color wise, but it isn't my house. I hope you do things victorian style with each place that there is a cut out a different color that way the color changes but the look is the same. Green is an Ok color but I often don't like it on houses not because of the color but when I was growing up you would go down a street and every house or at least a lot of them where all green. Maybe green siding was the cheepest or something back then. In any event it is going to be a lot of work and I wish you luck and safety with it.

Blogtoberfest at the TerminalCategory: central terminal
Well after reading I thought it would be a good idea to attend Buffalo's Annual Blogtoberfest and get our peeps to meet some of Buffalo's other bloggers. The flyer was so damn misleading because it has no mention of the actual Octoberfest going on there. When we arrived and there were like 600 cars in the parking lot, I though, "Holy shit - I have totally underestimated Buffalo's blogging community." Now I do kind of live in my own web bubble here at estrip.
I barely, venture out to the other blogs but I was totally astounded when we also saw lots of elderly people.
Slowly, once inside - I realized that it was by no means a blogtoberfest but rather a regular octoberfest. We found the table where (e:zobar) and (e:dragonlady) were waiting. Luckily, I just his chatter on my phone and knew they were there.
So we were pretty much the only bloggers there - either that or we scared all the other ones away. It was (e:metalpeter), (e:mike), (e:libertad), (e:jim), :james, (e:terry), (e:zobar), (e:dragonlady) and I. I met one guy from punaro.com
I am pretty sure that this is the last non estrip, blogging event I will attend until some of the other bloggers attend one of our parties.
As for the octoberfest itself, I was totally disappointed in the food. It sucked. It was like they removed everything good that was german and replaced it polish. It seems to be every buffalo German event is somehow way too polish. I guess Buffalo is just a polish town. We even brought up how you can get pirogies at the Italian Festival now.
Also Steel Drums had jerk chicken there. It just seemed so out of place. I wish that German events ever had more than bland hot dog like sausages and sauerkraut. That is only a fraction of what Germans eat. If you went to a festival in Germany, the food is just so much better.
I am pretty sure that this was my terminal, terminal event. (e:jim) and (e:metalpeter) took lots of pictures.
Other pics from Saturday
The park lane with a sky crane out front. When are they knocking it down?
Someones end the war sign from a lawn over on Lafayette.
(e:matthew) and (e:terry) sitting out front what used to be a giant house and is now a parking lot for the Saturn Club on Linwood.
Another dead squirrel. This one looks like it just fell out of the tree.

(e:jim) - so many of these bloggers are elderly, that's awesome! it's great things are spreading out through the population!

They also had two kinds of beer
1) Spatan
2) The Flying Bison which tasted just like Spatan
Isn't Octoberfest all about the beer? There is better selection in a Wilson Farms.

Good reflection on Blogtoberfest. Hopefully I'll get to put some pictures up later today or monday, I'm a little behind. Also I don't know why I was so non vocal maybe I expected there would be other bloggers or that there would be a blogger area and a way for people to say where they were from, it is odd that the blog tables where the ones in the back and no where near the band. It was still a good time tagging along with you guys.

Canning TomatoesCategory: food
So like, no journals all week and then three this morning.
(e:terry) and my mother canned 50 jars of tomatoes on Wednesday. That is a heck of a lot of tomatoes but it means we can have fresh pasta sauce again for the next year. It is amazing how much yummier it is. It looks like lots of work. I missed the actual process though because I was at work.
Here they are looking really happy with their work.
Last night (e:terry) and I went out with (e:libertad), (e:mike), (e:jim), and (e:james). It was a pretty fun evening of eating at Mode (formerly Le Metro) on elmwood and then drinking. We ended it flying a kite down elmwood, I wish I had any pictures but I forgot my camera. One of the hilights was walking down elmwood and having a car full of girls cat call to us, lol.

At what temperature will all these canned tomatoes be stored? Or does temperature not matter once the canning process is completed?

You asked last night why it is called canning when it is done in jars. I had to restrain myself from giving a brief history of canning.
Seriously...
thanks for the good time last night.

I am jealous of your stockpile.
your words say 'angry'
your face says 'sad'
Thats what scrunching up your face with sepia filter can do.
Wow. You look about 10 years older than your actual age in that pic. Good thing you're not looking for a date, haha.
Why not watch some fraggle rock?
