"the golden egg book"

"where is the egg and where did you come from?" said the bunny. "Nevermind that" said the duck, "here I am"
and so the bunny and the duck were friends and no one was ever alone again.

brooklyn bound

I finished up at elsewhere. Liz and Arzu came down for the final screening and brought me up to Brooklyn. Now I'm sitting aorund Anna's apartment in Williamsberg. I've been here for almost a week, looking for jobs on craigslist everyday. Who know, maybe I'll find one.

I wonder where TK is???

cackalackie

Hey from Elsewhere.

I am waiting for dinner. Two people make dinner every night. I made mashed potatoes with George last night, well, he made some stir fry and gravy. It was good. Tonight is nachos. Julia and Emma Rose are cooking.
I want a shower. I think it was about 90 degrees today with no air conditioning. How much can I sweat? A whole hell of a lot! I've got a shit load to do before Friday but I ain't stressing. I'm going to do the best I can. I'll post a few stills from the video I'm making. It has a long way to go. We have a show on Friday and Liz and Arzu will be here

i'll do it later
i got to go

robin update

so...
Here at Elsewhere people are running around to get ready for tomorrow's grand opening. I'm sitting here to wait for shit to render. A bunch of the Elsewherians made an exercise video and I'm doing the editing. The video has it's moments but it's frustrating to edit something that I didn't conceptualize. I think it's the last time I do it because I don't like to labor for free. I do like to work. It's nice. Well, I'll post a link to the thang sometime.
Personal life... Jesus, as much as I bitch about Buffalo at least I've had some good makeout fest there. Who can I make out with next? I like making out. My real last night in Buffalo was kind of nuts. Terry can tell you about it if he retained his memory. Certianly there was some making out that night.
Tomorrow night is a big party here. I hope it kicks ass. I hope it's nuts and I think it will be. Lordy lord, I wonder when the next time is I'll have some peace and quite and privacy. I haven't even masterbated in weeks. It could be quite a while...
Living with 15 people makes for to much social interaction. Women like me do better on their own... although I really did enjoy myself at Anna and Zoe's apartment in Brooklyn a few weeks ago.

enough enough

I'll tell y'all how we do with the party and opening tomorrow. You peepers better party down and send me those vibes down here.

elsewhere

so it's 4 in the morning. I'm all excited because Liz and Arzu are going to drive down here on the 13th. France is going to be make a visit to buffLo I hear. I've got lots of work to do but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I'm nervous. It's a strange set up here because they have these different positions. There are George and Stephanie, the two who run the space. Then there are all these people with positionhoods, which are like internships. They are assigned various task in the day. Then there are the artist-in-residence, like me, who are basically free to do their own work. I've been on sleep around the clock schedule. They have teenagers who work here, so it's weird to be around teens allot now that I'm mid-twenties. People seem a little more inhibited about sexuality and bodies here, it may be the youthful energy to the place. Here is a lil pic of a girl named Angela. She's a funny woman.

ok

People:
1. How did you find out about/why did you become of estrip?
I found out from you, Paul. Y'all were like do it... so I did.

2. How "out" are you about having a publicly accessible online journal. Do your friends know? Does your family know? Do your co-workers know? Does your boss know? Do you use your real name? Do you use your real photo?
I use my name but I try to keep my entire name out. This identity is more for my friends than my family. I try to cater to both.

3. How many epeeps have you met real life? Scores of them. Paul, Matthew, terry, mike, southernyankee, lilho, hodown, flacidness, metaal peter, keith, jacksmack, joshua, jason, hahaha soyeon, Shawn and lots more recently

4. How has estrip changed the way that you meet people, on and/or off line? It hasn't so much. I meant... pmt, y'all the ones I was always trying to trek down. I have your marriage certificate from your second wedding somewhere.

5. How has estrip affected you love life?
I would say, all in all, e-strip has little to do with my sex life but I love a few of the members... in a platonic sort of way. There was that dude getting me to make out with him my last night in buffalo. That was fun... so was an (e:strip) inspired occurrence.

6. How many of your friends have joined estrip because of your influence? I would guess more that 2... but how many stayed?

7. Are you from Buffalo/do you live in Buffalo?
No and No. You know the answers to that, p.

Equipment:
1. What type of hardware or software purchases have you made as a result of using estrip? firefox

2. Have you used the mobile version of estrip? Why or why not? I've tried but my phone aint really cut out for that.

Lifestyle:
1. In what way has estrip changed your Internet surfings habits? Describe the amount of time you spend on estrip, when you use it and about how long? It's something to check in with, for matt's photo's, people's stories and so on. it is a little depressing now that I'm not living in B-lo.

1a. How many journals do you usually read per day? I can't say. It depends on the day, week... where I'm at, what I'm doing... so on.

2. In what ways has estrip changed the way you perceive your local community?
makes in more permanent and less personal... I'd say because writing has a permanence that spoken words do not.... and voice has a intimacy that written words do not.
3. How has journaling about your life affected the way you spend your free time?
i've written a shitload but i couldn't imagine a bettter way to chase on time.
4. Has estrip changed your living situation in any way?
nope... btu i did give my bed to a estripper
5. Do you find that you mediate/document more of your experiences now that you share them with others?
lil bit but that was already going on silly goose. (I am a videomaker after all.
6. Has publishing on estrip affected the way that write?
I don't know.i like to think so. i like writing here. it's no pressure.
7. Do you have other online journals? If so, with what service and has estrip affected your usage of that journal? myspace and friendster before that. i think of e-strip as my blog and myspace as a music/friend network.

8. Have you ever gotten in trouble for using estrip at work?
no way, José.
9. If you have stopped using estrip, why? i've been busy lately... moving around. but look i'm in a place now

I'm leaving B-lo tomorrow. I went to Providence and Brooklyn for a while and returned today. Now one more Wednesday night at the pink and then a 17 hour greyhound ride.

The Kindness of Strangers

Does anyone have a truck? I need help today or tonight, if possible.

but speaking of the kindness of strangers...
last night while checking out at Walgreen's, I came up short on cash. The guy behind me bought my ciggs for me. The same thing at the same place happened a week ago. Those men sure were kind. Goes to defy the ol' rude Yankee stereotype. and that my friends goes to show you can't buy into that stereotype shit. I've been saying it for years but my home place down yonder still gets knocked on all the time with stereotypes.

Whoever you are, I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.
