what to drink?

Early Happy New Year Buffalo.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to drink tonight but I feel menstruation coming on so I need to be wary of excess drinking. My stomach is strong as a little toe but I have a mind like a steel trap, haha.

I have to be at the roller rink in Calhoun, Ga at 1 tomorrow for Kiah's 4th birthday. That will be a blast I'm sure. It's the only reason I'm not back in buffalo already. My sister, Lori managed to manipulate me into staying for Kiah's party.

I'm all disillusioned with Lori because she wasn't able to get off work so she can ride back to Buffalo with me. It was her suggestion to do it but now says that all the Mexicans at her work went to Mexico for the holidays and they asked for time off before she thought to. That's alright. It might have been nice to have company during my thirteen hour drive back to buffalo on Monday. i wish there was another wild party [inlink]robin,261[/inlink] going on.

on the wings of

I was smoking on the back porch a minute ago and the sounds were beautiful and familiar. The sounds of a distant train, a crowing rooster, and a chirping bird made me reflect on the loss of them when I'm in buffalo. The train is the sound I miss the most, that's funny because it's the only unnatural sound that I've listed. the train sound is inescapable here in Georgia.
My granny used to live in the government housing down on railroad street. The trains sounds were magnified in her apartment. We used to go out to the tracks and lay pennies down if we heard a train coming.
The sun is about to rise. I'm charging my video camera and I'm going to go take a shower. Then I might look for a funny outfit and go make some pointless video. I should jump on the trampoline in an old bridesmaid dress or something. It's 7:20 so I have a few hours before everyone gets up.
My Dad already left this morning. He went deer hunting with his BF, Luther. They want to get a deer because Luther just got a Deer jerky machine and they want to test it out. I told my dad to send me some deer jerky so if he does I'll share with everyone.
I'm trying to think of what footage I should get while I'm here in Adairsville. I have a car now so I can go anywhere. Let's see there's Snow Springs Baptist church, Boyd Mountain, St. Elmo, Downtown, the gray house, and so on but I can't think of any good reason to go to those places. My own back yard is where I spent most of my time growing up. A few years ago my brother built his house down the trail in the woods behind my parent's house. If I go down there now there is always to possibility of having my privacy interrupted my brothers family. why'd he havta invade my woods?

A Room of One's Own

I understand the importance of the who room thing the most when I'm here in GA where I don't have a room of my own. Yesterday when I was ready to sleep there were 6 adults and 3 kids over here who decided to have a pizza party right when I should have been sleeping.
I sat in the living room for a while and read about the poverty of student life

and the kids ran in and out playing hide and seek.

The Last Picture Show

What a nice movie. AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm ready for Buffalo, Damn it! Bring on the cold. It's 26 right now and that's colder than Buffalo. I'm so BORED. AH misery! Well, I'll be bored back in Buffalo. What can I do to make this a good day? I'm going to get some mini DV tapes for starters.
I've gotta call up Joy at some point so I can hang out before I head back. I should make Kiah be a little actress for me but she don't listen to nobody so ... yeah.
Yesterday Kiah and I were watching Peter Pan when Kiah decided to fix my hair. That would have been well and good except then she decided to cut it. She hacked off a juicy lock before I knew what happened. That little stinker, after I took her outside to jump on the trampoline all morning and everything.

Scary

This underwater earthquake business near Sri Lanka is terrifying. I've had those dreams before. The one where the big wave is coming, the wave bigger than buffalo's city hall. The wave that can destroy everything. Dreams like that are among the scariest that I've had so it's difficult to imagine the reality of such an occurrence. I guess it's something that has long been stored in the collective unconscious.
