okay, so this journal has neither, but something almost as good. One of my college friend's band is coming to Buffalo this Friday at Mohawk Place.

They are called the Spinto Band and are mmm, mmm, pop rock goodness. You should check them out (as I am not in Buffalo, I have to drive 1.5 hours to see them on Saturday in Western MA).

And on top of it all - they are (e:twisted) approved

So, I had commented on this in but I am so obsessed with it, it deserves its own post. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend that you check out the Gnarls Barkley Video for Crazy. It is one of the best videos (for a really good song) I have seen in a long time. It is a series of Rorschach inkblots with images of the band among other things interwoven into them. Here are a few samples:

For all of you hipsters who are into Arctic Monkeys (looking at you (e:hodown)) the band that is opening up for them in the States is my friend's band, the Spinto Band, [inlink]jessbob,122[/inlink] You should check them out They are really good, and if you do happen to catch the arctic monkeys in the states (I know they are coming to NYC, Boston, Toronto, Philly and DC) come early, it will be worth it.

So, you know how you have that friend that has the best chance of being famous. Well, mine is one step closer to being there. Nick Krill is one of my friends from undergrad, who hung out in my room constantly freshman year, eventually moving in next door with one of my freshman roommates (Dum) sophomore year. He is in a band called the Spinto Band and they recently released an album . They are a really good band. (My favorite song is "Late") and lately they have been starting to get into the media, Spin has done a few blurbs on them as openers for concerts. They got to the point that MSNBC has written a review of them . I know MSNBC doesn't carry a lot of street cred in the music industry but that is still pretty cool.
