Think I lie? Check it out.
I was amused by the throngs of "GROSS!" and "YUCK!" reviews. The fucking guy is the executive chef at Aquavit in Manhattan - this ain't some dredded out stoner cheffing in the dorm room. I say, try it before hating on it. Who is with me? We can even discuss the various outcomes we have on my journal.

Tricked Out Ramen - Chef Developed!01/25/2008 15:25 #43032
Ridley "keeps it real" and other news!Perhaps after seeing this my brother won't want Philly to be a smoking crater anymore - for me this is a genuine American form of protest.
For a further explanation read here -
I have to admit, this is one of the stranger bits of news I've read in a while. Three generations of shoplifters, all in one store at one time -
Oh, and I wanted to leave you guys with what is the strangest music video I've ever seen.... EVER! Its a hodgepodge of gay innuendo, psychedelia, dance and totally unrelated things, being thrown together for reasons I'll never understand.

my cousins grew up right near a navy base, so it was not just 747 type planes but f-14's and stuff all the time, and they could totally tune it out. it was DEAFENING. they called it 'the sound of freedom' (gag) and it gave them goosebumps.

having grown up 2 blocks from the buffalo airport, i can attest, you literally learn to block out the sound of planes. it's not until you have relatives from out of town visiting that you remember they are there, because you see them cover their ears and yell "WTF is that!?"

Hilarious. Right in C's neck of the woods. She used to tell me they would roll down to the airport and just watch jets take off and land when they were bored.

They changed the flight paths of the airplanes recently at the airport so that they now go directly over these people's homes, so it wasn't an issue at the time they bought the house. A good chunk of the southern part of Philly is next to the airport.

Oliver Stone's New MovieOliver Stone is creating a new film about the life and presidency of GWB -
Now we can wait for the explanations over the elements of fantasy in his movie, just as he did for 'JFK,' with gems like "maybe so but I felt the spirit of the movie was true."
And based on the recent poor performances of politically oriented Hollywood scripts, I wonder how well it will do to begin with. Perhaps the ABB's that are still around will feel a sense of warped patriotic honor and go see this movie, but at this point its beyond painfully obvious that there has been and currently is no market for the lefty flicks that Hollywood can't help itself... with or without.
What amuses me more is when Oliver Stone is asked about his personal opinion of the POTUS, which is well-known. His response is in the article I've linked. If anybody is actually gullible enough to believe that, I've got a great set of blue bridges (perfectly safe, btw!) that span the north and south sides of Grand Island that I'd like to sell to you.
I'm not exactly a defender of President Bush in general, but to suggest that Oliver Stone of all people would put together a balanced account of President Bush's life and presidency is laughable. He is in Cindy Sheehan territory, and I only say that in a hip, post-ironic way to reinforce her past relevance.

Actually in SF there is a play running concerning Dick Cheney - they casted a suitably creepy guy to play him. I can't remember the name of it otherwise I would link it to show you, but believe me its true! Some sort of Cheney mockfest is currently under production in SF.

Cheney the musical would actually be pretty good. I don't like musicals, but I would definitely go. I see Jason Alexander (Castanza) playing Cheney, and maybe Will Farrell playing Bush. Obviously, this would be a comedic musical.
Ooh! And Wanye Brady playing every character with color, or at least Powell, Rice, and Alberto Gonzolez.
Yes, this musical must be made.

From what I remember his Nixon movie wasn't all that memorable. Basically the whole premise of the movie is those missing minutes from his tapes were the real account of the JKF assassination and not anything with Watergate.

Dressing up some Ramen - now that is EXACTLY what I'm talking about! That's my kind of recipe. Eh, Josh? Eh?
Thanks for the link I meant to read that today and forgot. I admit I like my Ramen with as little water as possible and salty like it is and I think that is true for a lot of people. I also think it kinda defeats the purpose of it being cheap and quick and it wouldn't be something you would want to order any where, that is what causes the back lash. I also think that allot of people think peanuts and think of peanut butter and not a sauce flavored with it. I think that I might like the dish (oh yeah and I commented also about that), but not sure. But that being said I don't think there is anything wrong with thinking it is gross you yucky. The one version of spicing up things up I saw on a DVD. Everyone who was working on this movie or animation had to cook one night, this one guy had a huge pot and filled it with a bunch of ramean noodles the prymid of spices from the pack was at least a couple inches high he added chicken to it. It wasn't very fancy but it sure looked good.
sounds like these people think ramen is perfect the way it is, and shouldn't be touched.
That recipe sounds awesome if you ask me.
What were they saying yuck about? It isn't like he was putting human flesh of one's family in there... or was he?
