Chinese Toy Recall Continues
Category: conspiracy
Okay, I know this put it out at a total conspiracy theory freak level but what if China knew that all those toys contained lead and was trying to retard our youth. I mean how do you not know that 9 million toys were contaminated with lead.

I just saw this latest one today.

The recall involves the "Imaginarium" brand 213 Piece Wooden Coloring Case which includes crayons, pastels, colored pencils, fiber pens, paintbrush, pencil, water colors, palette, white paint, ruler and pencil sharpener in a light tan wooden carrying case that measures about 14 inches by 19 inches.

These recalls are a great example of why anyone with a degree in business should also be forced to minor or at least take 3 ethics courses. Yes what is ethical isn't an easy choice sometimes. One could argue that the jobs are good for china when they are making things for Americans. But by doing that then aren't we also saying that is ok for them to get shit pay so we just make things worse over there. Yes some companies like fisher price have this entire process that things are checked and rechecked before they hit the market place. But instead of putting greed and profit before the American people why not just use US workers and goods instead of having people from another country do it. If every company sends there jobs to another country then no one will be able to buy what people are selling cause there won't be any jobs that is one of the reasons our economy is on the way down currently. If you want to speak of conspiracies lets take it up another level "Rich Corporate America" Doesn't care about the poor or at least the middle income so as a way to keep the power they shift those jobs to other countries then if the toys or other things their kids don't use anyways have lead in them who cares cause it will only dumb up the kids at the lower income levels.

Panaro's On Deleware Near Allen
Category: food
Panaro's on Delaware is my very favorite lunch restaurant in the city right now. I love that place. The food and the service is so great and the prices are reasonable. I would suggest it to anyone. They have the menu online too

Panaro's
571 Delaware Avenue
Buffalo, NY 14202

Today I had Panaro's bracciole, it was so yummy. The meat was the perfect amount a flaky and the stuffing was delicious. I normally don't even like Italian food out, but their food tastes like home cooked.

Here is a bracciole recipe I think I can find out a family one from my mom and get back to you.

The blond waitress is my favorite in the whole city and considering I eat out at least one meal a day, that is a serious compliment. This picture of her is stolen from the Panaro's site.

On the other side of the food world, I bought these organic table crackers at wegmans.

image

They turned out to be a little extra broken, which is weird considering the box was unharmed. Do you think the machine mashed them up on the way in the plastic? They still tasted fine as a powder.

I have never been there but she is smoking hot and she looks like she might know how to cook to. Yeah she is hot I wonder if that is her natural hair color not that it matters but she is a cuttie pie.
jbeatty - 08/31/07 13:38
Man and to think I almost went there for lunch today. I guess I will have to make a stop there next week.
hodown - 08/31/07 10:46
OMG- that waitress is on the matchmaker show about Buffalo. She lives at home and cant find a boyfriend because she acts 12 and is really in her mid 30s. Small world..
tinypliny - 08/31/07 01:42
And that was the first restaurant I ate at when I came apartment hunting in Buffalo. Part of the reason why I fell in love with the place. :)
tinypliny - 08/31/07 01:38
!!!! I LOVE THAT WAITRESS AT PANAROS!!!! She is so awesome - I have been at that restaurant many many times now and she has waited on my table every single time. She remembers me everytime and is so sweet to me. :))

And I think they have the ***BEST PIZZA*** I have ever had anywhere and probably in the world!!

That's it. I am going there for lunch tomorrow.

At The Casino
Category: games
I went to the Niagara Falls Casino with (e:mike) , (e:libertad) , (e:terry) and (e:matthew) to celebrate mike's birthday and his addiction to Gambling. With two mintes of playing the 25 cent machine I went from $20 to $43. It felt reat. Following by like two minutes on the $1 slot until I was back to $20 ;(

image

I really am just not into it even with all the great computer noises involved.

(e:mike) was really upset that the Birthday Spin the Wheel promotion starts Sept 1st, the day after his birthday.

I admit that I have never bet at a Casino before. But since I have played 21 before I might like blackjack but when you are playing with real money it kinda changes things I would think. If you want to play a game where the odds are different there is rulete but it seems like in that game you really have no action you just pick a place on a board and hope. It sounds like you all had a good time though.

Video Chat With e:lilho
Category: peeptalk
Last night I got to video chat with (e:lilho,40823) on ichat. I am not sure why her pics didn't come out - but I took my own.

We were never able to start a video chat with more than one person, although it says you can chat with up to three people.

image

Of course, some pics are more important than others. This one is for (e:mike)

We have had so many comments this week! I took this pictures yesterday evening. Thanks you guys for making this site successful.

anne - 08/30/07 16:08

lilho - 08/30/07 13:02

In an unrelated asian restaurant...

It started like this: We waited like 5 minutes to be seated in the restaurant but it was full accept for the patio in blazing sun with no one on it - or this one five person tablet that was empty in the back corner.

We ask for a table, the dude says, "How many?" I say, "three" and he says, "no table." I say, "What about that one?" and he says, "it is for five." I say, "Oh it is reserved, he says, "no it isn't, but would you like to sit outside?"

Now if I was a rational human being I could have just gave in and said no thank you and told him I was takig my business elsewhere or insisted on being seated there . Instead the sicilian in me took over and I said, "Then I will not be eating here and proceeded to leave while spitting on the inside of the glass door. Maybe, I do need anger management classes.

Its better than the time I threatened to burn down a hotel in downtown phoenix and the police had to come. Man, I used to be such a freak.
imk2 - 08/30/07 18:24
yeah we should have spit on her and not on the door.
tinypliny - 08/30/07 10:13
imk2, we totally should have done "the aggravated spit" that day!!
tinypliny - 08/30/07 10:10
Don't ever to Betty's during peak time. You might want to kill 'em all.

Oooh, the spitting was such a cool touch. :) Hats off to you!
leetee - 08/30/07 00:18
Wow... Paul... i promise, if you ever come over to our house again, you can sit anywhere... honest.
