Sort of excited
Category: apple
I've been working on a flash card site for learning foreign languages, and I'm really looking forward to making it work with the iPhone. It's the perfect size and seems like a good excuse to try to get (e:james) let me buy one :) (yeah right)

OK and now I spent like 4 hours wondering why my apache rewrite rules were behaving so erratically and of course it was because i forgot to set ''RewriteEngine on'' but strangely some of the rules still were working just fine.

All of the stuff I know about Apache I have learned painfully. It's just that sort of a beast.

Right right - I still don't get it. I had a list of about a dozen re-write rules, and only the first one didn't work when I didn't turn on the rewrite engine. That was just maddening.

It never ceases to amaze me how the folks at Apache were able to take something so entirely simple and basic as the HTTP protocol and turn it into something so needlessly complex and forbidding as httpd.conf.

Do I win anything?

Oh and Happy Monday!
tinypliny - 06/11/07 13:05
You could have my lawn chairs. I may have to leave them curbside. But then you would need to drive 75 miles to get them...
leetee - 06/11/07 12:46
You sure do win something! You win... you ready...? Me saying congrats.

Congrats. :O)

Allentown Art Festival 2007

Allentown was nice this year... not as brutally hot and crowded as usual but maybe it was just that we started earlier.

I havn't been to Underground in over two years. If you do remember me from there, I was the sad drunk one who was giddy when they played a Flock of Seagulls song that wasn't 'I Ran'.

But have been to half a dozen claremont parties. I was the giddy one, with a Flock of Seagulls song no where near my head.

I also gesture wildly with my hands, making me both gay and Italian.

jim - 06/09/07 18:43
The is in fact (e:james), and if you recognize him it is probably from an estrip party or a Claremont party.
metalpeter - 06/09/07 18:34
I think you two have both been at the same (e:strip) party before but not sure. Nice pictures from "The Art Fest" I will put up pictures on Sunday hopefully. I ran into 6 (e:peeps) But I didn't see you. It seems like that it wasn't as crowded as some years. But the allen part is allways packed because the street is so thin. That being said I think often saturday isn't as big as sunday sometimes. Plus you don't have the influx of some of the people who go to MIA and then go look at "the festival".

hmmm...that's (e:james)? the person with the camera? i think i remember him from somewhere. the underground? a claremont party?

This looks just like that Dore print from Paradise Lost of Satan being expelled from heaven sans-Satan.
imk2 - 06/08/07 20:10
holy shit, i took a pic just like that this afternoon after leaving the science center. i was thinking to myself what an awesome pic it would make. although mine is taken with my phone, it still looks like the sky in the poltergeist movie. i'll post mine when i get home.
