More on Steve

They were talking about Steve Kurtz on Democracy Now this morning. It's all completely out of control. The "dangerous chemicals" he had can be found in most chemistry sets and purchased legally on the internet. The poor guy couldn't even mourn for his wife. But you all know all this. It's just so disturbing.

On a more fun note, is anyone going to the Pink tonight?

Resistance Is Futile

I really tried to do something productive last night. I even ran 3 miles thinking that would keep me out of trouble.

But then Geoffrey stopped by and wanted to go for "1 drink." That's always the kiss of death.

We headed to Rendezvous and during our "1 drink," his friends called wanting to go to Blu. It was all over.

It's a hopeless cause - trying to behave myself in the summer. You just can't beat those summer patios. And those boys at Blu spin some damn good tunes Tuesday nights. Might as well enjoy it while I don't have to brush my car off.

Phone Back In Order

I got another phone with the same number. All I can say is that if you need to go to a Cingular store, do not go to the one on Delaware. Go to the one in the Galleria. Kerry will take good care of you.

e-peeps everywhere

I went to Niagara Square and saw e-mike and e-jill. We were discussing the fact that there were probably epeeps in our midst and we didn't even know it.

I ended up drinking from about 7pm to 3am. I didn't drive so I took a cab home and left my cell phone in the back of the cab. When I called it this morning, the cab driver said his band was playing outside Holly Farms today and I could pick it up there. Since it poured, I assumed the gig was cancelled, but I went there twice anyways and he wasn't there. Now he's not answering the phone. Five of my friends told me that they called and he chatted with them and told them where I could get my phone. He's been talking to my friends all day, but when he doesn't show, he can't answer. I think he's screwing with me.

All of this has led me to some conclusions:

1. I need to stop severely abusing my body with alcohol. Not only will it prevent me from losing things, but I'll be a healthier, skinnier, richer e-rachel.

2. We should have an epeep party. Granted this item does not really coincide well with number one, but what can you do? If you have doubts about meeting each other, see Drchlorine's journal [inlink]drchlorine,4[/inlink]. Those e-dudes aren't so bad either.

Movie Talk

We made it all the way to Orchard Park to catch the 10:00 screening of Fahrenheit. I can understand why people would be suspect of Michael Moore's facts. He's extremely biased and often uses select pieces of information to prove his point. But I don't think there are many facts in this film that can be argued. I personally thought that if I was a swing voter, Moore would have won me out. And that's what counts.

Extreme Ironing

Yes, this is a real sport. I wonder if they judge you on the ironing quality. Perhaps the number of creases?

morning

Having severely deprived myself of sleep the last few days, I went to bed around 5 pm. I woke up at 8, and got ready for work. As I walked outside, I realized the street lights were on. I thought that I had slept through the night, but it was really 8 pm. Strange feeling.

Summer Fun

I can't keep up with all the social activities. Paul is right about it keeping down productivity. [inlink]paul,amp;1218[/inlink] Now there's Thursday in the Square, Wednesday movies at Bachus, Indie Rock night at Luna and Off-The-Wall on Wednesdays, Thursday e-peep night at the Pink, Taste of Buffalo and all of the thousand other festivals, plus all the regular happenings. How am I supposed to be a productive member of society?

Azurexeruza - I agree wholeheartedly with Liz. For most women, the thought of long hair brings to mind images of a disgusting unkempt mop. But when a boy has nice long hair, we generally love it.

Beast and Metalpeter - I love reading your journals. Maybe you can start a new society based on every nympho's favorite primate - the bonobo. Everyone has random partners (many female-female when males are not near) and when conflicts arise, sex is the answer. I know that if I were always sexually satisfied, I wouldn't get too cranky. Just cover yourselves in latex please.
