Wrapping gifts

I get better at it every year. This year I moved onto envelopes. The
gem is really my primitive use of pseudo perspective. Nothing screams
MFA like this masterpeice.

Christmas eve

We went to my aunts house for Christmas eve. The kids were so excited
about Santa Claus. I think it was the first year that none of them
were scared of him.

Hope it was a good time. There is something scary about him but I don't know what it is. It is kinda from a distance he isn't bad but kids get close and freak out sometimes, oh maybe it is because they know, he knows they were bad, HA. Not really sure what it is, good thing that no kids where freaking out.

Nonna's bandaid
Category: family
Last night I somehow cut the top of my toe. It was one of those really painful cuts where the top layer of skin is sliced off but not enough to bleed so there is no scab.

So today I was dreading the walk to work because we were out of bandaids. Then I found this leftover box of bandaids from nonna's medicine cabinet with one little mini bandaid in it. It fit
perfectly, kind of like she left it for this occasion. Okay, that's cheesy but I smiled on the way to work thinking about it.

that is the greatest thing ever! She is so amazing forever!

You know, that is the FIRST thing I thought about looking at this picture. I was all "Wow, what an elegant looking bunch of toes". But then I thought, "Wow. sounds like I have a toe fetish", followed by "That is so cool, Paul is stepping on some snobby designer thresholds - you know, like a modern godzilla with a pedicure. Oh, what a culture statement". Finally, I read your post, and I was all "Where is the bandaid" "Where is the bandaid". Spotted it and decided not to comment on all the deviance.

But hey, I can only be quiet that long. LOL

As simple as that
Category: computers
After about 5+ years of using the command line every freakin day, like 80 hours a week I still find myself typing ks instead ls.

Today I decided to just deal with it once and for all.
ln -s /bin/ls ~/bin/ks

I wish I would have just admitted failure and done that before.
theli - 12/23/08 10:42
Har!

So is that just a consistent typo? Or does ks actually stand for something on some systems?
james - 12/23/08 00:33
That is right! Shoe that robot who is really in charge.
tinypliny - 12/22/08 21:48
Is that a command for a keyboard re-mapping? I frequently remap my keyboards according to the common mistakes I make. (So I never really learn how to type well, because I am always cheating). But hey, its my party... I mean keyboard. I can k if I want to!

Ok, I won't complain about NYC being cold.
