Mystery Man
image

There is a man who sits at the edge of Hoyt Lake. He seems lonely, like he has lost someone very close to him. I don't think I have ever seen his eyes.

ladycroft - 05/13/06 12:01
you are such a gentle spirit, you should say hi to him.
uncutsaniflush - 05/12/06 20:48
I noticed this guy the last couple of times (e:leetee) and circumambulated Hoyt Lake.

I'm not sure exactly why I noticed him. Perhaps it was the pain or/and lonliness that you speak of.

Oprah said...
Oprah said it would behoove me to get some new pillows. Nasty dust mites could be bad for breathing, allergies etc. I won't tell you all how old my pillows are, just that I got new ones.

Good bye old friends!

Also got a new a/c unit for Coco. Rabbits need to be cool in the summer months. In the wild they burrow into the earth for coolness. This should also be better for breathing/allergies.

pyrcedgrrl - 05/13/06 00:24
oh yeah, duh... My cousin lives in AZ and had rabbits in a pen outdoors. They burrowed under the barn, the poor little things!!
pyrcedgrrl - 05/13/06 00:23
I <3 my new pillows. $20 for 2 fluffy down Serta pillows @ Sam's Club. Yay!

theecarey - 05/11/06 19:04
heh, have you seen the creatures that take up residence on our bodies?? I *hate* knowing certain things..

time to toss my pillows!

These Days
My bike is at Campus Wheelworks being doctored up. My baby! I have had it since I was 12, but i bought it used. The guy at the shop said it could have been made in the early 80's. It's a road bike which is a rare breed now a days. If someone stole it from me or it got ruined for some reason it would be so tragic. I don't want another one, I think I could use this one till I die. Hopefully I won't die on it.

I think i'm gonna go back to library downtown again quick. Need more movies. Returning my all time favorite singer, Celia Cruz. Must get more Celia! ¡Azucar! Also gotta hit Latina for some groceries. That place is so fun. Vegetables are stank, but always interesting things going on. I think they are cheaper than Wegmans. Luckily we got Guercio just around the corner for veggies, they have excellent prices.

My bike gets out of surgery on Sunday. Who wants to go for a ride?
jenks - 05/10/06 20:36
that's so weird... Azucar by celia cruz was playing on my computer as I read your post. (part of the "margarita mixer" cd that came with some margarita mix I got for my bday) AND I just bought a (road) bike, and TOTALLY want to go for a ride, but 1: they have to order it and 2: I have to work sunday. But some other time fo sho!

My Buddy
I wanted to have My Buddy so bad when I was a child. My parents wouldn't let me have one. It would be too faggotty for a boy to have a doll. I never got one, but now that I'm looking at them outside of the magical comercials I saw as a kid, I have decided it is way too freaky.

you were evil/are evil. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
hodown - 05/10/06 09:06
My brother had a my buddy doll. I think he called him joey. I hated the doll with a passion. So in like 6th grade or something I wrote I heart NKOTB all over it (translation I love New Kids on the Block). Yeah I was an evil sister I know.
theecarey - 05/09/06 23:52
"My Chucky" doll. *shivers* They are one in the same... I just know it!!
mike - 05/09/06 23:45
I loved my my buddy that I got from my Aunt Cathy. She was crazy and noone in my familiy liked her yet I was too young to remember her so that was all I had to remember her by and so I always loved it....mine always wore army fatigues for some reason though...(e:paul) was terrified of its chuckie-like qualities and would try to lock it in the basement.
paul - 05/09/06 23:30
I hate this doll. I have him burned into my subconscience since (e:robin)'s party.

Parking Tickets
GRRRRR!!! I got a parking ticket! I live right on the Elmwood Strip (I Park on a side street) so I do believe that I am in the heaviest ticketed area of Buffalo. God, if I just had $30 for every parking ticket I have gotten in my life. Yesterday I was getting ready to go see Poseidon with (e:mike) and (e:jill). Very entertaining I would say. Anyways, my alarm goes off at 5:30 to remind me to move my car. I shut it off and finish getting ready thinking I would move it in a few minutes. I realized at 6:45 that I forgot to move my car. At 6:47 I was looking at the parking ticket I got at 6:44. GRRRRR!!!!

I'm pleading not guilty. The cars are supposed to switch sides at 6pm two times a week. We should have at least an hour before or after six to move our cars. I suppose if they wanted to do street cleaning they could do it at any other time during the week. The cops are being stupid thinking that if they write more tickets they will get what they want. They should write NO tickets and then every freakin politician from city hall will be all over them giving them what they want, kissing their hot tight asses.

Oh, I decided to get a masters in ranting.
jenks - 05/09/06 21:51
I also prefer the Onion's suggested title for poseiden- "the big upside down boat with all the screamy people"
jenks - 05/09/06 21:49
yeah i got a wrong-side parking ticket (along with 20 other cars) when I went to see brokeback... by the time i paid it there was a late fee, then a late fee on the late fee... ended up being $70 to park that night. Today i almost didn't feed a meter on elmwood, but then realized that avoiding a ticket was worth another 2 quarters.
And why stop at master's... get a phd in bitching!
