Don't forget tonight

Yep tonight is the last night to see NPP. It's a coffee house so get caffinated and watch us play. 10pm is our stage time. Undefined goes on before us at 8pm. Good times will be had, plus I'm sure we will party it up after at the NPP hacienda.

Karaoke!!! Estrip Robin!

Billy speaks

So Dan and I blow off going to see Constantine to go downtown for the Guiness toast. We have a tall shot of Southern Comfort (100 proof) and meet our friend Lee and his girlfriend at Barrel House. I down the first scotch of the night and we realize that we've missed the toast. We roll out and go across the street to Croc Bar. The Croc is kinda suckin even though Universal Grill is playing, and they just got back from Vegas. So sick of slow songs. "Let's go to Karaoke!" We walk to Tudor lounge. Lee's girlfriend is crying about the cold, so I grab some snow and rub it all over her legs. She stops complaining. We enter the Tudor and I continue with the scotches. We sign up for Sicilia by Simon and Garfunkel. Wake these boring people up. We finally get up, me, lee and dan. Back to the scotch. I have a dance off with some girl. We see Robin from E-strip. I try introducing myself, but i can tell she's sick of guys hitting on her. She rolls out with her friend. Bye. Dan and I get up and do Paint it Black by the Stones. The crowd gets into it. Duh! It's a great up tempo song. We roll out.

Dan fill in the Gaps and finish the story.

-dan in-

hmm, i think the dance off was after the rollings stones songs, then again I was wasted, I tried dancing with this tall chick but she was like "no' and then made out with some dude....Lee and his girl took off so we decided that the only place to go at 2am on a friday is allen st. Franks is closed down for some reason, the pink looks d-e-a-d so we decide to go to brick bar, while we're walking there we run into the girl that bill had the dance off with, we invite her for a drink but she's tired and going home with her friends. As we walk into brick bar I run into the tall chick who blew me off in the tudor...she's all "Hey what's up?", I looked around like is this broad for real...got a smoke from her and rolled to the bar. Ran into the bartender from the showplace, she bought bill and I a shot. Then we started talking to these three chicks...we all decided to go to the hardware store, had a drink there and rolled out, the girls ask us to come back to their house, but tell us we have to be careful around the chicks rotweilers. We walk into the house and these vicious rot's come running up to us, with their toys because they wanted to play. So I play with her vicious dogs who seem to be about as vicious as a bunny rabbit. While Iplaying with the dogs the girls offer us coke....not the drink, I was so distracted with this weird offer that I threw the dog toy at the wall and broke the girls dead grandmothers antique vase. Yeah so we got asked to leave after that, which is good because coke is bad. What a weird night.

Search for a new drummer

-dan updates-

Not sure how to break the news to you but Nick has left NPP. He will still play bongo's for us at our last show together, next week at higher grounds coffee house.

This will be our last show until we find another drummer. So if anyone knows a drummer who is interested in acoustic rock let us know. We will be auditioning new drummers until we find a replacement.

-dan out-

-nick is here-
I don't really know how to begin this entry, but I just want everyone (especially Jay, Dan, & Billy) to know that I love the NPP and I am very sorry that I cannot continue playing drums for the band. I have a lot of stuff going on at the moment and I cannot devote the time that I feel is necessary for the band to accomplish what they want to. I will continue to support the band and help them out in my free time (if i have any & if they would like my help).
I feel that I have grown as a musican in the past 4 months as a part of NPP and I thank Jay, Billy, & Dan for letting me be a part of their project.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the band and please continue to do so.
Farewell for now,
-Nick

So I was doing some research

-dan stops working to bring news-

So we're in the process of putting together our second show. It is at Broadway Joe's again. So I'll give you all the info but I wanted to tell you about one of the bands we are playing with. The David Lynch band. So we were told that a guy from Moe is in it. Moe is huge in our area, and tours regularly. Well so does the David Lynch band. After seeing their website and reading who we are playing with, I feel honored to be on the same stage doing a show with these guys.

This is only our second show and we get to be on stage with a touring band. It looks like our show is the warm up show for their tour, which is even cooler I think.

So here's the skinny, I'm sure we'll repost this too

when: Feb 4th 10pm
where: Broadway Joes
who: North Park Project
The David Lynch Band
Uberfunk
The Weezing Stubblers

this will be a killer show, I know it's gonna be packed.

New Show, New Songs, and other New Shit

Billy says:

What happened Saturday night?

We went out drinkin at Coles with most of the crew. Dan and I fell in love with a new beer that Timmy introduced us to: Storm King. It's a stout with over 9% alcohol. Gitty Up!! Then we saw Flacidness. (Funny, cuz i just saw him and Lilho at Target the other day) Dan went over to talk. I was trapped in conversation and drunkedness. Then we got it in our heads to crash someone's party. Five of us split from the group and headed out. We picked up a case of beer and made our way. We couldn't find the party but rolled with the night and surprisingly made our way to the Colonie for the second night in a row. We hung out but I was too wasted to enjoy it and none of my girls were dancing. I hung in like a champ and we went back to my place to drink. The night starts to get fuzzy from before leaving the Colonie. The next morning, Nick thought I broke one of his ribs and the back of my bald head was bleeding. Surprisingly the two incidents were not related.

Sunday, Awesome band practice. Nick, Jay, and I were in a silly mood all day long. Dan looked half dead. We practiced, we wrote. Jay and I indulged. Nick drum soloed for the three of us, and my neighbors. We retired upstairs and watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle". In the condition I was in, it was the funniest movie I've seen in years.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL BE PLAYING FRIDAY FEBRUARY 4TH AT BROADWAY JOE'S AT AROUND 11PM.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

-Nick (holding ribcage)-
Billy, you definately bruised my ribs! I'm NEVER sparring with you again, I don't care how drunk I am...Luckily I can still play my drumkit without any rib pain...haha. NOBODY fuck with Billy, he will definately kick your ass and leave you hurting.

Practice Last Night

-dan brushes off dust-

Been a long time since we actually wrote anything so I thought I'd talk about practice last night. We worked on a new song that's been floating around the house for a while. It's coming together we need to work out some of the kinks. I was trying to adapt the bassline to a melody part I wrote. It didn't really work out, but I have some ideas to give it the same flavor.

We basically played every song we have. Worked on a couple endings, and changed some stuff in some older songs. I think the extras we never did before are coming together very nicely.

Not sure when we will play out again. We're just taking it day by day. We'll make sure and let you know when it is.

-dan out-
