I want to eat at this restaurant on elmwood near Bryant. Its right next door to our yoga class and you can see their back patio outside the yoga room. Has anyone been there?

We went when they first opened. They didn't have a liquor license yet and we brought our own wine. I think that'
s the only time I have ever done that. It certainly cut down on the price. I remember the Croque Monsieur and the frites with aoili were really delicious. Honestly the patio was totally the best part. I think its a real hidden gem.

They have an all-flash website: :::link:::
and a super fancy menu. And 43 mixed reviews: :::link::: It is expensive. Looks like it's an Elmwood version of Left Bank.

I know someone who has. They liked it. It's a French restaurant. Is try it, especially if they have escargot.

Isn't it the restaurant that is so elite that it does not have name display outside? I have a feeling it might be crazy expensive... but then again, maybe not. Does it have a site or a menu online?

video screen at thursday in the squareCategory: thursday
Welcome to 2002 Buffalo. Its so crazy that they have the giant video screen now.
I saw my friend Liz that I grew up with. Its so weird seeing someone after such a long time. She couldn't believe I was a computer programmer and I wasn't on facebook.

I just ran into (e:Matthew)... on the way to getting myself waffles and we discussed why we don't like to go to TATS and prefer walks in the parks instead. .hahaa

I love Fedora 15Category: linux
I don't feel like enough people thank the Gnome 3 and Fedora team for what they do. This release is nothing but awesome. I don't care what the people who are not ready to give up gnome 2 say. The workflow of this new interface is great. It really keeps the clutter out of the way and forces me to not use my desktop like a trash can.
The effects are also much more useful than the old compiz ones for me. I never used the cube and the wobbly windows had no real purpose while the activity interface on gnome 3 is extremely useful in making getting to apps easy ,as well as, keep my interface clean. That plus just about everything can be done with the keyboard.

(e:paul) - wiping out xorg.conf dropped me down to the vesa driver. I can't remember if I reinstalled the kernel. Which probably means I didn't. Thanks I keep forgetting that they aren't drivers anymore but kernel modules. I'll try to give it a try tomorrow.
I was happy to find that Fedora had a decent e17 despite the package being an orphan. I wish I had the current skill set to maintain e17 for fedora or anyone else. but I'm more idiot than savant these days. I just don't have the time to keep up with anything. Linux was more uncomplicated ten years ago.

Can't you just wipeout you /etc/X11/xorg.conf, then just ctrl+alt f2 to drop out of x, killall Xorg and you are back in minus proprietary driver. You might need to reinstall the kernel and any remove any mods you added. Its been forever since I worked with ATI, not sure if that works or not, but it gets rid of my nvidia driver.

What?? ATI radeon HD doesn't play well with Fedora 15?! Really? I am not going near this release then... I really was all set to try it this weekend. I have had enough trouble with my graphics to invite even more. :/

The heart was an oopsy. I've been living with gnome shell and fedora 15 for about a week. My major frustration is support for my ati radeonhd card. Or lack thereof. My fps is around 85 fps in Fedora. And around 1500 fps with Ubuntu.
After installing the ati catalyst module, I learned that gnome shell doesn't play well with it. I like gnome shell. I also like ubuntu's unity. It would be epic if someone made something using the best ideas from both projects.
I like gnome shell better as a usable desktop but I like the way unity manipulates windows. There are legacy buttons for old farts like me.
I think I may have to reinstall fedora 15 to get rid of my workarounds for the ati driver issue. I think too much config got changed auto magically. And not enough cofig got reverted auto magically.

I really want to try it out... Currently, I don't have a "desktop" at all in my debian modified install so there is no concept of a trashcan. But yes, I do use the desktop as a trashcan uniformly in all my windows systems...

Work is so boring right nowCategory: work
I am so bored with my job right now. I am having to re-write a bunch of existing code instead of working on anything new because a vendor product purchase changed the way we store employee position information.
Just about all of the other web apps depend on my directory service JSON RPC2 API so just about everything needs to be tested again.
Sometimes its fun to revisit old code and refactor but in this case, the code was very optimized and now I am just having to re-write and test a lot, in the end nothing will seem much different, just that my life will be sucked away a little more.

Funny, I was reading this today morning... :::link:::
And I am realizing just how true it is for everyone I know and mostly for myself. I sometimes that I need to re-examine my decisions and seek some honesty in why I am doing what I have apparently set out to do. Am I even doing what I came to do? The lines are so blurred now that that article makes more sense than ever.

hmm that was supposed to be on the Tabree journal
You ate at the costume shop?
I think me and (E:mk) went there once, but I am not totally clear on that. It might have been a different restaurant in that location but it was tasty either way!
