That contraption doesn't even have four wheels. And pardon my political incorrectness here, those two are so overweight and look scary riding that small bike! I would have anxiety if I saw this on the street!

Field RoastCategory: food
Why do vegans eat fake meat? Field roast? Forrealz? I know I used to do it with Tofurky. What a hyppocrite I am.

(e:metalpeter) has a point there. But seriously, if anyone wants to switch to being vegetarian, craving substitutes is a sure-fire way to fail and highlights the fact that the person is just fine eating meat and is not ready to switch to a different lifestyle yet. I think vegetarianism is not so much about not eating meat, as it is about embracing more and more vegetables and plant food in your diet slowly and expansively.

I have no idea but I have a guess.... As Americans food means so much to us there are memories with it... There is smell, Texture, spices... For example if you go to a cookout yeah Turkey Burger or fake burger is good but it isn't that same Being American and Eating a burger... By guess is they still like the taste of the meat... One way to think of it is say you eat Chinese Take out... Some of that may not be what they say it is....But does that really matter cause when you eat Chinese what you are really tasting mostly is the spices... I had some fake sausage patties that taste great and it is I think from the spices being the same and it feels the same and looks the same.....

Cracker food in a box?Category: food
Or food made of crackers?

tinypliny - 05/26/11 21:01
Maybe they are now using the phrase "cracker meal" to denote an umbrella under which cracker-like snack foods fall into. So instead of saying, "And what would you like for an appetizer?", soon waitresses around the country (starting in McCormick restaurants, of course) would say, "And what you prefer as CRACKER MEAL!!!!". They will shout the last part. That is how lingo is born.

Nope to both possibilities. In this case, meal means "a granular substance produced by grinding" Think corn meal and not meals ready to eat.

Basra the sulcata loves watermelonCategory: pets
So much that he will try and eat it through glass. I think that proves that its all about color and not smell with him as there is no way he could smell through the sealed glass container. At the same time it might represent that he us smart enough to recognize watermelon from previous experience.

I had a turtle that loved raw hamburger, but not cooked hamburger. So maybe it is the color.
