Philthy McNasty's
Category: toronto
We went to Toronto on Thursday night to go dancing at circa. The club
was massive. I, however, am not compatible with rave mosh pots and
that's what happens when you pack like 5000 people in a club. Even if
it's massive with multiple floors. I managed to get myself on several
near fights and decided by 1:30 I had to get the he'll out before the
thugs on drugs were thoroughly drunk and angry.

Toronto seems so crowded to me now. So much so that I have no I
interrest in going back. It also seemed so dirty which I felt was
exemplified by the name of this bar. The air was foggy with dirty fog
(smog) most of the day.

FWIW, Philthy McNastys is franchised chain :::link::: with locations in 7 Canadian cities. Notwithstanding the King Street West location in Toronto, most are in suburban areas of places like Burlington and Hamilton.

Been some time since I've been to TO like last Baseball season. If I don't get to getting my passport or something it will really be a long time. I feel as if I need to go there and like go see strippers or something. I don't mean only strippers but that would be part of the thing.

Yikes, what a thing to name your bar!

Delish on elmwood - Italian nougat
Category: food
I am pretty sure I wrote about these before but they are so good they
serve a second and solo journal entry. Do yourself a favor and go get
one. They even have chocolate covered ones.

I love their nougat.

We are friends with the owner and the pastry chef. I'll pass on your review.

Owl At The 24
Category: animals
When I got home from work tonight (e:terry) and (e:matthew) were outside looking at an owl outside the house in the tree. It was so tiny and fluffy and cute. I wanted to keep it as a pet. We couldn't take a photo with a flash because it would hurt its eyes, so here it is on the iphone. I think this is the first time I saw an owl in the city.

tinypliny - 03/29/09 12:07
Yeah - that's what I was going to say. It doesn't look that small.
lilho - 03/28/09 22:55
what????????????? that is super insanity!!!! we have burrowing owls here, and there live in holes and even pipes sometimes and they are mini and so cute too!
mike - 03/28/09 18:29
that is so cool!
libertad - 03/25/09 13:21
That is awesome. It doesn't look tiny.
lauren - 03/25/09 11:25
that is so cool! was it "whoo-ing"?
james - 03/25/09 08:33
Are you sure it wasn't a mechanical owl?

The Drexel
Category: furniture
It's outside. If you want it - come get it. I am keeping track of the
cushions. If it is windy Ill bring it back in so the parts don't end
up all over the street.

tinypliny - 03/29/09 12:12
OH! I see. Okay, it makes sense now. :)
jim - 03/29/09 12:10
Drexel is a manufacturer :::link:::
tinypliny - 03/29/09 12:08
So why is it called a Drexel?
matthew - 03/25/09 13:29
I've got the Drexel pics on my camera. I'll upload them tonight. Actually, I have a huge amount of photos to share.
tinypliny - 03/22/09 13:41
So is the photo shoot going to be posted? :)
hodown - 03/21/09 20:12

Bistro europa
Category: food
We went to bistro Europa on elmwood last night for dinner. The food
there is so amazing. On the way out I noticed this sign. I think it
would be fun although $65 is kind of steep. I am so curious about
scandanavian night.
image
paul - 03/21/09 13:12
I think its just for one because I saw another poster with just one night listed and it still said $65.
james - 03/21/09 13:00
Is that $65 for six meals? Because that is pretty damn good.
jenks - 03/21/09 12:40
yeah 65 is kind of a lot- especially for there. But maybe it included pricey wine? I love that place though.
