My ability to write SQL is severly atrophied, and I hate it.

1 job down, 2 jobs to go.Category: work
OK, my one contracting job seems like it's done. Now I've just got my new full time job (going super well so far, 2nd week in) and some part time at-home contracting stuff to Roswell to work out tomorrow. And a ton of email to catch up on. Oh and I'm out of town for a week in a week. Hmmm... forgot about that. Programming conference in SLC and then visiting family for a few days. Still busy then. Oh well.
But basically, things are sweet! Light at the end up the tunnel? Can't wait for spring: take more photos, get out of the house more... yuck, cabin fever. Plus, it's my birthday at the start of April so ... 29. Seems like it'll be a good year. Get a house I hope.
Gotta go, have a good night everyone.

Wrong account? LOL
UPDATE users, outtatheloop SET users.intheknow = 1 WHERE users.uid = outtatheloop.uid AND users.tony = 'awesome';
My SQL's OK. My Ruby... not so good.
Sometimes I like to Megahurts my RAM in public, but i'm going to end up LOLing my ROXORZ if I keep it up... Yeah.
And SQL actually stands for Shugga Quit Lieing, and I'm telling the troof.
PS. just remember to fully qualify your columns with the table name in order to avoid selector ambiguity so that the DBMS doesn't scream at you. Cause that's the last thing you need happening. Crazy DBMS's.... shesh.
Structured Query Language, it's relational calculus - math for interrelated data sets.
So you could select all entries that have a username of felly:
SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='felly'
But it gets more complicated then that when you need to retrieve/update results from across multiple tables of data.
Super Queer Lesbians?
Simply Quiet Lasers?
Sandy Quests Lust?
Sadley Quaint Losers?
i could go on....
It went really well, 15 people I think. I ended up finding my new job via the last Ruby meetup, so I'm really happy to be involved in it. I present at all of them - playing at teacher ;)
Oh sh*t, I missed the Ruby meeting. How did it go?
So no going nuts and doing stored procedures and custom aggregates anytime soon?
SQL is fine, I'm just not used to writing complex queries anymore.
You hate SQL or your atrophied ability?
