Lilho is goneCategory: peeps
Some building have like 10 kinds of building materials used to cover them as they kept trying to patch the building, but never matched it to original material. It makes the building look like old tattered jeans with patches. I personally think there just is no hope for most of it. I guess I don't have faith in it. I wish I had brought my real camera.
Even the "churches" are fucked up.

Last night, we went out to dinner last night at Cozumel. (e:lilho) and Nameless Bitch had the giant drinks again which means no one else could because they only have two giant margarita glasses in the place!

We will miss your lip gloss, lol.

Missing Image ;(

Paul, the formaldehyde truffle pigCategory: health
I am especially sensitive to formaldehyde I can smell it in really small concentrations and it makes me nuts. Same with various plastic smells, seem like softer plastics and cheaper plastic smell worse to me. Anyways, I think formaldehyde is the worst smell. Ever since dissecting my first of three fetal pigs in Biology class I became instantly familiar with the pungent odor that is formaldehyde. They have definitely used it in the Life Sciences building at work because I can always detect it there. Even in the little food shop. In fact I refuse to go there. Lots of new buildings smell like it and plywood is the worst.
Formaldehyde Facts
Formaldehyde is a colorless, flammable, strong-smelling gas that is used to manufacture building materials and produce many household products
Formaldehyde sources in the home include pressed wood products, cigarette smoke, and fuel-burning appliances
When exposed to formaldehyde, some individuals may experience various short-term health effects
Formaldehyde has been classified as a human carcinogen (cancer-causing substance) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer and as a probable human carcinogen by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
esearch studies of workers exposed to formaldehyde have suggested an association between formaldehyde exposure and cancers of the nasalnasopharynx, and brain, and possibly leukemia sinuses,

I may hit you up on that later but right now I just eliminated all sources of the smell that bother me. The bed is gone and I don't work in that building that smells.
I got super-sensitive to smells for like a day after a bout of either stomach flu or food poisoning (I never figured out which). It was awful!
Everyone thought I was pregnant!
I think I offered this before but I'm serious, if you want an air purifier that takes out formaldehyde I can get you one cheap. Apparently the less you're exposed to it, the more you can then tolerate.
I am on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. My wife will say "What is that smell?" And my reply is often something like "Huh?"
I consider it a gift. We can be out somewhere and she will be perturbed about something she smells and I'm completely oblivious.

The Dinner Party Last NightCategory: party
There was also a dance party and a lot of kitchen craziness. I have enough inappropriate pics of (e:lilho) to start my very own drunken girl site, lol.
It was nice to see everyone. (e:lilho), (e:terry), (e:matthew), (e:mike), (e:jim), (e:james), (e:jason), (e:joshua), (e:vincent), (e:incrutiable), (e:carolinian), (e:flacidness), (e:enknot), (e:zobar), (e:dragonlady7), (e:lauren), (e:fellyconnelly), (e:tina)
I don't have any appropriate pictures. Did anyone take pictures?
Yeah, where are the pictures...we couldn't go...too tired from skiing!
i was just thinking this morning about how there didn't appear to be a camera present last night! other than the camera phones that were whipped out for (e:lilho)'s show.
Well then that would make there only be two sites that I would pay for instead of the one oh no wait there is one other so that would make it go from 2 to 3. Sounds like I missed a great time glad everyone had fun.
I had a guy come and inspect my fireplace. He was pretty good and did everything I expected. If you think your chimney has cracks then getting a gas or wood fireplace insert seems to be the way to go. From what I understand it uses a venting tube they put right up the chimney. Does not matter if you have cracks or not. I called the Town of Amherst and asked the fire marshall who they would recommend for an inspection.
Paul, (e:Drew) and I know someone recenty laid off who could be your wood floor refinisher person. If you want a licensed contractor, he's definitely not that. But he's a good guy who will do quality work and needs the money and has some time on his hand due to the lay off. He's someone who has learned how to do a lot of construction, house repair through his job in theater as a set designer. Let us know if you're interested and we'll put you in contact.
