Dinner at sahara grill
Category: food
We went to sahara grill for valentines dinner. The waitress rfushed us at 9PM although they closed at 10PM and were still seating people. It was freezing, like I never took my scarf off. The menu was exactly the same as before they closed. The chicken lavash (that I got because I felt too rushed to get dinner) was really tasty. My verdict is that I would go there again, but for lunch.

(e:terry) really seems to hate valentines day which always makes it so pleasant. I guess I can't complain too much as we have plenty of romantic days not on valentine's day.

So I was thinking that I probably have had 24/7 internet access wherever I go since about 2003, except for maybe a week of remote camping. I wonder what would happen to me if it went away?

I want to shout out to my nokia n810 not phone for having an innovative keyboard that requires no shift press to type a apostrophe.

I don't know if I and Terry have dislike for the holiday for the same reasons or not. But I think that even if you have issues with it one can still go out and enjoy themselves on that day. In that picture Matt looks like he would rather be anyplace but there, hope that wasn't how it was and hope the 3 of you had a good day.

i have to say i'm really not impressed with sahara grill. I'll stick with falafel bar. Every time I go it's rushed, and last time they fucked up my order, and then it was cold, etc etc.

Wow we probably walked right by there while you were eating :)

A Busy Day
Category: work
My neck is stuck again so I can't look to one side. On another note, I cleaned my desk and refactored/programmed a huge amount of stuff today. I also exported all the online signatures from my application and they look pretty good. It is amazing how well people can sign with a mouse.

(e:matthew) and I started talking about our new architectural website we are working on, more details to come....

Walgreens had valentines pigs dressed in leather chaps. What is that about? Now to decide on a place to eat?

We want to go out for dinner but no one can decide where to go?

Today I got this letter
Category: friendship
That meant so much to me. Today my friend Jesse, who got me into web programming and mobile devices (look where that went) and inspires me, wrote me this:

influence on my life, and that you are a really important part of my
thinking. so thats it.
later.

I only wish that person didn't live so far away in China ;(

Estrip vacation
Category: life
I took today off in order to rest but I couldn't just rest, I had to work on the new estrip a bit, which involved moving and sorting 28,000 media files.

Then I had to write some rules so that when people requested the old files in links and stuff, that they would be redirected to the new ones. I also read all the news form the mobile phone convention which was exciting but not like buy it now exciting. Everything, was about some distant other phone in the semi distant future ;( That is not why I saved up for this!!

When is the first android phone coming out after all. And when is the freakin' iphone SDK coming out - and flash for the iphone. I am ready now.

I am so ready for something exciting and new in the mobile world. What I really want is the not phone to have its own 3G. Ok maybe to get my sms accepting me into the skyfire beta program.I have been waiting two weeks!!

My Mother's Birthday
Category: holidays
We went to Black And Blue Seafood 5493 Sheridan Drive, Amherst (839-2525)
image

It was one of the most amazing meals I ever ate. The service and food was unbelievable. We had a server and two server helpers that attended to everything. I had never had that level of service anywhere.

I had Jonah crab, my mother had a 2 1/4 lb lobster. (e:mike) had scallops, my father had lamb chops and (e:terry) had ny strip steak with blue crab meat. Poor (e:matthew) was sick ;( The lobster was the biggest lobster I ever saw. It doesn't look as big in the pic as it did in real life.

The interior was really nice. I especially liked the suede high back booth we were in.

Here you can see part of the menu. You can see the full menu on their website

Their fireplace was awesome. I kind of want one like this.

Afterwards we went home for cake and gift opening.

Mom and me at the table

WE tried to take a family photo but for some reason, my brother (e:mike) cannot smile in a picture. My mom has trouble too. WE all had trouble with it basically. Maybe its genetic. We had so many retakes, this is just a small sample.

You and your dad have good smiles consistently. Maybe your mom passed the gene to your brother and not you.
mrmike - 02/11/08 09:42
Love that first pic, Mike looks like he's dozing off. Happy Day to your mom
lilho - 02/11/08 01:20
