Niteline

Did anyone happen to see Nightline last night? (WIKIPEDIA - http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=559297) The entire show was dedicated to Bloggers... and the 'trouble' they cause. I like to think of it as having an active involvement in society.

Anyhow, one particular case they were talking about was how a woman (I think in Virginia) began reviewing bills passed by the government. She came across one that stated that any woman who loses a child during pregnancy should be required to notify the authorities. How ridiculous is that!? So, any woman that has a miscarriage or stillborn is required to (during a time of grief) call the police and reaffirm the fact that their child is dead. Now the politician said that he never intended for it to be taken that way, he merely wanted to try and put a stop to the rising numbers of women abandoning their newborns on the side of the road. I don't think that the bill had been passed yet and was still up for review and editing. Maybe the woman (sorry I don't remember her name or have time to research) jumped the gun in posting her blog bashing this guy too soon, but come on now.
