a lot of reading

image

i just had to do a lot of upreading. i got lazy. went to the beachy yesterday. when did i become old? most of the people there were highschoolers, TAN highschoolers. everyone was tan. i was white and old. now i'm white on one side and red on the other. and hurty. oh well i had a great time. i miss hanging out with friends. derek is my love and greatest friend of all but hanging out with other friends is different. i can talk about different things and we can relate to each other. d and i relate to each other in a different way.

i wish it wasn't raining i want to jump on my trampoline! i'm gonna go look up trampoline exercises. geeky i know but i see the tramp as my only form of exercise and jumping yesterday actually did some work to my legs. i have to figure out how to do work to my stomach while on the tramp..... any ideas?? hmph.

here is katie on the trampoline. she jumps up on her very own and attacks me.

i thought this was funny

I was reading about how to register on the UB student response page.

"Getting Help
If you think you need to talk to us (or BIRD says "You need assistance" and then politely hangs up on you), call the Student Response Center Monday-Friday from 8:30 - 5:00 "

---> politely hangs up on you.

good thing i read this before hand so i don't get offended if i should get hung up on

I saw john stevens too! if his hair was any redder it would be on fire. I also saw the gang on top of the building with the baby jesus protrding from mary's head. we were like what the f*$%? haha. then we realized we hit a dead end. unfortunately i didn't find anything that suit my tastes. i did like some window hanging thing but i held back. i don't know why, i really liked it. oh well, that's 20$ i can spend on flowers for my front yardy.

hummin' bird

I saw Kirby today. He flew past the kitchen window and I got very excited and started yelling "HummingBIRD!!" Then he checked the feeder. Of course, it was almost empty from dripping and I don't know if he got a good taste. Now its nice and full again so Kirby come back!

no dumbbutt

Yesterday an environmental guy came to the house. He was late teens early 20's. He asked me, "Are your parents home?" "No." "Will they be home by 9?" "Nooooo." "Are you at least 18?" "Yesssss."

I should have told him I owned the house and I was married. I wonder what his reaction would have been. I didn't because I was trying to figure out what he wanted before I told him I lived here on my own without MoM.

How old did he think I was?? Jeesh. Anyways, I gave him 15$, I hope it gets put to good use.

hey baby!

I love clicking on my journal and seeing Katie's face come up. I love that dog.

I watched the videos from the Pride Parade. They were hilarious. I especially liked the guy who said he doesn't rap and the couple with the veil. They acted so surprised at the questions. I love when people laugh a lot, it makes me laugh too.

I feel worthless and lazy today. I actually went out to eat last night and ate real food. We went to Carrabba's, the newest addition to Amherst. It was more expensive than the olive garden but not by too much. Two meals and an appetizer cost us 32$. Not bad. The eggplant parm was yummy in my tummy. And they give you warm bread to dip in oil and herbs. MMmmm.

We had calamari as an app. Its hard to think of it as a squid. I can't even say I'm eating squid. Gross.

random things

1. I agree with Lilho about keeping journals shorter if possible. Sometimes I read half and then feel compelled to move on to another journal. Gotta keep up. I am also guilty but sometimes I can't stop writing. I don't care if mine gets skipped. I just gotta finish writing.

2. Last yr. we had bikes stolen from our backyard. They took the most expensive bike and mine, the least expensive. In fact, mine was worth maybe 2 dollars. Rusty up the ying yang. I feel so violated when something is stolen from me. Like it was a personal attack. After that we kept them in the living room. Nice.

3. Happy Birthday Robin! I don't know who you are but I like wishing people Happy Birthdays.

4. I forget who said they were going to Alaska but that's awesome. Your trip sounds like fun. I've always wanted to drive cross country. Maybe one day before I really settle down.

5. I decided one thing I will miss a lot when I have kids is that I won't be able to walk around naked or pee with the door open after they are a certain age. I don't want my 5 yr. old to have a memory of mommy walking around naked when he's 20.

6. I told Matthew we have resident toads. Here's a picture of one. Tom-Tom. He's the fattest little toader and he likes to hang out in the grill cover. Katie likes to chase them.

Alaska

Last year about this time D and I went on a cruise to Alaska. It truly is a beautiful place. It just doesn't seem like its part of the US, you feel like your somewhere special and far far away. I guess groceries are expensive because of the distance from farms and things. This one guy we met said the grocery was out of garlic for two weeks! And milk costs a pretty penny. Here are a few pics. They're really small because they wouldn't fit any bigger. The last one is from Victoria, B.C. What a beautiful place. Seattle was nice too. Very clean and hilly. Wow was it hilly.

...

and I have to reference Jessbob's comment on Maculay Culkin. His lips DO always look chapped. Gross! Maybe that's his thing. Blonde, red eye rims, chapped lips to match and unfunny chit chat. He was on one of the late nights and he still looks 16. I'm not nice.

i wasn't going to but....

since i was on reading i might as well post. so far hummingbird feeder has only had one guest and it was a beetle of some sort. i decided if and when i get a customer, i will name it Kirby. Maybe its the lack of flowers in my yard joined with the fact that sometimes it takes a few weeks to even attract a h-bird. Kirby, where art thou?

I wish I had a pool to swim in. I think that would be the only exercise I could really like.

How'd it get to be 2am?
