Dreaming of Kerry
You know when you have had too much election coverage when John Kerry is the main character in your dream. I was somewhere, it looked like Brussels, walking around minding my own when I catch a glimpse of John Kerry talking to a lady. I decide I really want to go and discuss things with him and get the measure of him as a man. So I start rummaging through my bag for a camera but I cannot find it, by the time I look up he has disapeared. Then I find myself in a room full of beds with the Australian girls, Lisa's boyfriend whom I have only ever seen in pictures of is there. He just smiles. Then Kate tells me that John Kerry is giving a lecture at a local school, I should go down and talk to him. I find myself suddenly in an empty classroom, apart from kneeling down fiddling with a projector screen is John Kerry. I pull out my camera and say hi to him, he mumbles a response but it hardly sounds friendly. He seems busy and tired and distracted. Suddenly the room is full of people and they are all sat at desks and talking amongst one another. A film starts on the projector and Kerry walks toward the back, one girl asks him why he is walking toward the back and he replies that he wants to watch peoples reactions. The film is a film about Micheal Moore as a man. I start to wander around asking people to take a picture of me with Kerry but everybody has something to do and I become increasingly desperate. I suddenly realise I have become what I hate, a fawning sycophant who believes all of Kerry's rhetoric, whos greatest goal is to capture an image showing other people that he for one second stood next to him. I do not know Kerry as a man, all I see is what he shows me, I still believe he will make a better president, but I will cool of my unswerving commitment to him. I wake up for a minute then go back to sleep.

Dreams
Hello peoples. I walked down Elmwood the other day and saw the Elmwood Strip house, nice house by the way. Anyway I was reading through everyones journal and decided to try Maidencateyes dream journal idea, I do not mean to steal other peoples ideas. I just remember keeping dream journals when I was younger and it can be really quite insightful, it can even trigger Lucid dreaming. So I recorded my half hour long dream at five oclock this morning. It was insane, I started by falsely awakening and needing to use the toilet (bathroom). So I headed out my room and was confronted by my former suitemate Josh except that he had large mouse ears. So I asked him casually what that was all about, he explained that the girls really dig mouse ears. Halfway through his explaination I realised I really needed to pee so I pushed past him into the bathroom. After I was done dream peeing I suddenly noticed a stack of Cameras somehow stacked in the bin. Dan my former suitemate takes photography so I assumed it was one of his experiments. I pick up one of the cameras and the entire stack tumbles over and I frantically try and put them back in place, to no avail. I suddenly found myself sat in the car on the way to the airport with Edgar and he seems excited and says something about the assumption of emptiness. Then I awake. For a first dream recorded for a while it is pretty abstract. Hopefully things will get weirder and sexy as the dream journal progresses. Thanks for the idea Kristen, we should go out for drink again it was very fun.

The animal party
Well on Saturday we went to the animal party at Mike and Marks house. It was super fun until someone suggested that I had been given a swig from a flask containing heroin, so I became a tad paranoid. I think it was actually a lie though because I felt fine, although it killed my party mood so I decided not to party past 2am. How cold is it today !?! its insane, I sure am glad I invested in a North face jacket. HHm I look over this and realise I could be saying more, however I am unsure as to how to say more. I got a test tommorow in Hydrogeology, should be hellish. I can't seem to get very worried like last year though which is good, needless worry is never helpful.

The Delgados
I have made a decision, I have to convince my roomate to vote for Kerry. He is the only way being a non citizen I can help. His argument is that Bush and Kerry are both a waste of time because neither proposes that Medicare and Medicaid are disbanded (he is possibly a sociopath). I have decided to show him the project for a new American century website to prove that its not a conspiracy theory, then perhaps show him the Florida votes scandal footage. I have to convince him that the PNAC guys are so dangerous that they must be stopped. I just need a copy of F911 I think that would do it, stupid Buffstate download limits prevent me from getting it though.

Debating
Ooh debating. I really wish the candidates were able to actually question one another, Bush would have been a gibbering wreck if Kerry was set upon him. Having said that even without any direct questions it was obvious who understood what was going on and who was just feeding back a line that was fed to him earlier by Condy or Dick. I watched it in the fireside lounge at Buffalo State and was pleased to be surrounded by at least 40 others if not more, following a Black Active Minds event. Before I came over here people warned me not to speak out against the president because everyone loved him, but I have found the opposite to be true at least in Buffalo. I can only hope the sense of breakthrough we experienced watching Kerry chew up and spit out Bush was felt throughout the country and not just in the lounge. Anyway I should stop focusing on your election, I have exams, lots of them all clumped together on material I have not read! Ill start tommorow.
