Sato On Elmwood
Category: food

We went to Sato on elmwood for a late night snack. Their kitchen is open till 12am but sadly, no sushi - which is what I wanted.

The ramen was really tasty. I love the pork in the broth.

Centipede Invaders
Category: bugs

Right off the Roswell campus, in the new park by Trico, there were the most centipedes I have ever seen. You couldn't take one step without smashing 100 of them. The plague went on for blocks. I have no idea where they descended from but it was literally from side to side of the street covered in bugs.

Thank god it ended before by house.

Andy C At Dnipro
Category: dancing

Last night we went to go see Andy C at Dnipro. The music seemed like it might have been good with earplugs.

It was unreal seeing one of my favorite DJs, that you usually only get to see in massive clubs or festivals, at Dnipro, in Buffalo, on a Wednesday with a few hundred other people on an amazing final dance floor.

Unfortunately, the sound system was aweful. It could not handle the range of his output. It was so bad (e:terry) and (e:enknot) left. I couldn't leave the opportunity to dance and we stayed till 2am.

Grazy Fungi
Category: nature

On Saturday night we stayed on a small island in the forest, in the PA side of Allegheny, in order see some synchronous fireflies

I think it was too early so we didn't see as many as the last time but it was still pretty awesome. Packing up the tent twice in two days and the three hour drive home wasn't as fun. Next time I would camp in one place for one, two day weekend.

Brushwood Solstice Saturday
Category: brushwood

We headed up to Brushwood Folklore center for the Solstice and Jolene's birthday with just about all of our camping friends. Technically, we were there Friday night till Saturday afternoon when the summer became a reality at 6am.

The whole time I kept dreading it some weird way, thinking that summer starting takes us that much closer to winter.

(e:yesthatcasey) and I almost died of allergies. I had to shower twice on Saturday because my nose just wouldn't stop dripping from the wind blowing over the fields of blooming grasses.

Overall though, the fireflies there were amazing at night and it was fun to run around naked in the fields during the day.
