Mike's Moved In
Category: family

Its exactly like it was when we were kids with rooms right down the hall on the same side from each other.

Its a weird mix of furniture. My old childhood bedroom set, his old childhood bedroom set, my parents dining room set, and my grandparents living room furniture.

Provincetown - Here We Come
Category: vacation
(e:joe)'s family was going to Provincetown for vacation and we decided to tag along. Found a nice cottage with private beach space. It will be so different than the last time we were there (e:paul,31065) and were staying at a Christian Family camp.

Lexington Coop Asparagus Mystery
Category: food

The other day at the coop I found all the bottoms of some asparagus tucked in the cereal isle. I went to tell a worker who jokingly (I hope) told me I didn't need to hide them, that they gladly cut off the wooden bottoms for customers who ask so that they don't have to pay for that part.

She even told the other cashier, those are the guys who hid the aparagusbin the cereal isle and laughed.

So now, even though it wasn't me, I now kind of want to ask for that each time for them to cut the bottoms off which is only going to make it seem more like it was me after all. It would essentially cut the price in half if you were to cook them right away when you got hone.

I want to cook the wooden bits. It seems like such a waste to just chop them off and compost them.

There's such a difference in the taste of the veggies upstate.

I don't know but those wooden bits are pretty tasty when they soak in soy sauce and lemon juice and jaggery in a quick stir fry.
