For amusement only
Category: games
This video game machine at New York Pizza on Allen is so old fashioned. The graphics are about the quality of an intellivision game from the same era but it has a nostalgic feel.

tinypliny - 07/01/11 19:41
For amusement only? What else is a videogame supposed to do?
mrmike - 07/01/11 19:40
Hard not to be charmed by it though
metalpeter - 07/01/11 17:39
This is (not sure when they started doing this) a new old video game... At the time all it had was Galaga but now you can play many games from that time.... Now what I don't know is if they are full level of those games.... What I mean is if you where good enough at some of those old arcade games you could go pretty far not sure if you could ever really win them or just get the high Score.... I think the reason for the Amusement only is that (this may have only been a rumor) but they had games that if you did well enough you would win things and they had tournaments and stuff...... But I wasn't an arcade rat or what ever those people where called.... By the way one of the game systems not sure what one has a bunch of those games on one disc if you like them......

High Five HSBC
Category: buffalo
In response to (e:Mike) high giving the sky way.

tinypliny - 07/01/11 19:44
super lol@ (e:metalpeter)'s comment.
metalpeter - 07/01/11 17:30
yes more of a cupping and from a different perspective it looks more like Godzilla giving it a little tap and since he can't control his strength down it goes........
tinypliny - 07/01/11 02:01
The man in the shades does not approve.
tinypliny - 06/30/11 21:31
That looks scary. Like you are about to knock it down. Where is (e:Mike)'s high-five face reciprocal?
mike - 06/30/11 21:31
that's actually more cupping it gently than high fiving

Lowest or the Low
Category: music
Well, I missed the concert at the town ball room a few months back at the town ballroom and now I am seeing them at the habour. Sadly no one I know even knows who they are. Clearly the crowd up front does.

Dinner last night
Category: food
I love the grill in the summer. I wish I had a kitchen with a grill and fume hood for the winter.

For the first time I tries cooking the corn in the microwave. Husk and all in the microwave for 2 minutes. Worked really great, little mess, and saved all the vitamins that would end up washed away with the boiling water.

Last night (e:tinypliny) and I roasted. One over the gas flame on the stove sand husk. It worked great. After roasting wee rubbed it in lemon juice, salt and pepper
paul - 06/30/11 21:30
Actually it didn't make any mess. I ran this experiment four times. It worked great every time.
ladycroft - 06/30/11 13:00
You just stuck a whole cob of corn in the husk in the microwave for 2 minutes and it cooked it?? Did some of it blow up (a little mess)?
heidi - 06/28/11 22:49
My family Easter tradition was grilling steaks outside. One year (maybe 1978?), we had the dig the grill out of 4' of snow (no lid, either - it was a sawed down barrel on a post).
tinypliny - 06/28/11 19:57
I don't think it will retain the minerals/vitamins when you grill them either. Btw, have you tried roasting them over an open flame of the stove? We did all the time at home and it always turned out awesome. Get some black salt, smear it over the roasted corn and rub the lime/lemon juice over it.
metalpeter - 06/28/11 17:17
Some People grill when it is cold out.... (not just on the cosby show with a Jacket) They just put the top down and then go out and check it but that isn't me.......
