For the first time I tries cooking the corn in the microwave. Husk and all in the microwave for 2 minutes. Worked really great, little mess, and saved all the vitamins that would end up washed away with the boiling water.

Last night (e:tinypliny) and I roasted. One over the gas flame on the stove sand husk. It worked great. After roasting wee rubbed it in lemon juice, salt and pepper
Actually it didn't make any mess. I ran this experiment four times. It worked great every time.
You just stuck a whole cob of corn in the husk in the microwave for 2 minutes and it cooked it?? Did some of it blow up (a little mess)?
My family Easter tradition was grilling steaks outside. One year (maybe 1978?), we had the dig the grill out of 4' of snow (no lid, either - it was a sawed down barrel on a post).
I don't think it will retain the minerals/vitamins when you grill them either. Btw, have you tried roasting them over an open flame of the stove? We did all the time at home and it always turned out awesome. Get some black salt, smear it over the roasted corn and rub the lime/lemon juice over it.
Some People grill when it is cold out.... (not just on the cosby show with a Jacket) They just put the top down and then go out and check it but that isn't me.......
