most fun ever!
I am such a homebody these days... I decided to step out of my shell a bit this past weekend and go out and have some fun.

Fun is an understatement for the weekend... Probably one of the best weekends of my life!

Decided to go out dancing with my girl Liz on Saturday after a day of shopping and lunching with the moms. I bought her a laptop with a bit of help from (e:hodown). It felt nice to do something for my moms, she had a rough year.

So I actually was going to bail on going out because I'm lame but I'm so glad I didn't! We ended up meeting all sorts of characters and professional sports players which it seems I have a penchant for this, which is odd because I know nothing about sports. Anyway I yelled out to this guy who was talking to me that he looks like Lebraun James and it ends up he plays for the cavaliers, kinda a huge insult. Oops. He was trying to have an after party at the Ritz but we ditched out in favor of sleep. Then I met some former NFL player, which I again know nothing about.

Oh a whim I bought courtside tickets for the suns game and proceeded to sit directly behind the cavaliers player I insulted the night before. sitting courtside is like being in the cool club, it was so fun and VIP feeling.

Then we went dancing again Sunday night and they were all these people in town for the college football championships which I again had no clue about. We went this club that blasts cold smoky air onto the dancefloor, very fun. We ended up tearing up that dancefloor... So fun! All the pretty girls we asking to dance with us, I guess we have skills?!

Anyway, to top it all off, it has been comfirmed I will be starting my first block of the professional teachers program @ asu, so now I want to celebrate again! I'm proud that I finally have a set direction in my career. Asu is also a really good school so that makes me excited as well!!!

2011 is a year I definitely have a great feeling about!

Sounds like I need some lessons in dancing-style from you. :)

Good to hear you are having so much fun for a change!

dance class
I signed up at a dance studio for a month to see if I have finally found my exercise of choice. I actually would choose no exercise and to be very toned from eating pizza and decadent meats but this is not the case...

Let's just say I worked out so hard I became sick and threw up after. I didn't even realize how hard it was until the drive home when I thought I was going to have to pull over.

I am now so sore from two days and three classes of dance that it hurts to simply sit down or walk.

Yowsa! I love it, ill be tip top in no time and its fun too! However I need to practice but I really suck at learning steps and routines. I can dance well just freestyle but actual dance class... This shiz is haaaard!

Ya what style dance ate you doing?
tinypliny - 01/07/11 09:28
Whoa - my salsa class is nowhere near that intensive. Are you doing hip hop or something?

pet peeve
Sorry animal lovers but I think you are all gross. A home is not meant to be infested with dog hair that makes my newly washed clothing appear dirty and hair covered.

Animals do not belong in the home.

I'm also extremely allergic so I then have to wash everything- not just because it appears hair covered but because I also cannot breath.

Agreed but I think cats are worse.

trapped in az
my sis might not make it back to nyc for a while more, was supposed to flight out tomorrow, but everything is still so backed up. i should make use of this time and put her to work.

she's sitting here typing very loudly, i think she is taking out her aggression on the laptop, but what we really need is some yard work done.

off to the mall and to see narnia... later peaches.

i am a hoarder
Apparently my room had taken on a life of its own. (E:hodown) has been insisting I downsize and get rid of stuff. Threw out a bunch of makeup the other day and yesterday 12 bags of "stuff" was hauled out of my bedroom.

The "stuff" included:

Every kind of clothing possible

Shoes

Jewelry mostly broken

At least three pairs of sunglasses

A plastic Barbie tiara

At least one fully empty box

Pullups... Wtf? I work with special needs kids... Somehow ended up with their pullups, unused FYI

Many many books

4 bags of trash, 8 bags to goodwill.

How did I accumulate all of this? I had at least 20 pairs of jeans and 20 black tees. I was forced to get rid of quite a bit, but its Xmas and I'm ready to collect and refill my collection of "stuff". Jk... I am over my hoarding ways and shall continue to downsize and simplify my life.

Pics to come...

Merry (e:strip)mas. Hearts.

Seriously, I can't believe that I now own 5 pair of over 2.5" heels from last year's 0 and can dance in some of them! (I am planning to paste suede on some of their soles to make spinning easier...)
tinypliny - 12/25/10 00:27
Wooohoo GO MINIMALISM! (not counting the enormous number of shoes and trousers and whatnots I seem to be hypocritically accumulating...)
metalpeter - 12/24/10 16:12
Sorry Clothes alone isn't hoarding.... The Fact is that (more true with women then men) that people go up and down in weight and how thin or non thin they are and boobs change size and shape some in large amounts of weight lose gain and so do ass and the form people take so clothes are good to hold onto. That being said hopefully a lot stuff goes to people who need it..........
mike - 12/24/10 13:40
NOOO DON'T LEAVE THE HOARDING CLUB!!! It is the coolest club in town, and HOW could you get rid of a plastic barbara tiara. It seems highly useful and necessary.
