I know this is so totally racist of me to say but this story and many similar others is exactly why I am generally frightened by black guys in the neighborhood and why I run home from work at night.
Well, I guess it is a combination of being frightend and being sick of being asked for money.
I can honestly say, that I have never had a positive interaction with an unfamiliar black man on the street. Luckily, the worst was just when one robbed my house

It is sad because I see how it is unfair for guys like
(e:enknot) who told me story about how some women at work, moved their purse to the other side when he was walking down the street towards them. He has to live with all the baggage created by those jerks.
This attack really takes the cake though.
(e:matthew) was walking home from work and said he saw a man on the ground bleeding and a bunch of doctors/dentists hovering around him. At first we had no idea what happend but then we got an email from the blockclub and there was an article in the Buffalo News about it. I wonder if the timing was different, if it could have been him.
The assault
I don't see how this ~20 year old could decide to attack a ~90 year old. Its so totally sick. It honestly makes me want to carry a gun or at least a tazer. I wonder if they caught him.
West Seneca man, 85, robbed on Linwood Avenue
August 20, 2009, 6:57 AM
An elderly West Seneca man was attacked and robbed in his car on Linwood Avenue at about 1:10 p. m. Wednesday while waiting for his wife, who was at a doctor's appointment, Buffalo police reports said.
The 85-year-old victim was attacked in the 200 block of Linwood by a man who punched him in the face and body before taking his wallet and car keys, police said. The robber was described as a stocky black male in his 20s, 5-foot-11, carrying a red bag and wearing a black shirt and black pants.
Wow, I never noticed its hollow. I guess you need to get the scoop from the top.
I just put it in the system. You will know when they do something before I do.
That tree is directly across the street from us in front of the Linnor apartment complex. Its between properties so I don't know the address but the Linnor is 1-19 Linwood Avenue.
Maybe they have some way of filling the hole to save it? I have no idea but it seems dangerous because its completely hollow and has that gaping hole.
If you give me an address I will have the city take it down.
