What an ugly freaking dress

Not like I should be able to say anything about fahion considering how
I dress, but what is with this ugly dress. It just makes the woman
look wider than she is.

Come on, now. Its not that bad. Its actually pretty nice looking!
metalpeter - 08/23/09 17:08
Is that J-lo I can't tell I can't see her ass, it also hides her boobs, well her's are small. I would love to see if you could see them with so busty girls like Selma Hayek and Tera Reid and other gorgeous busty stars that way we could see what the dress really looks like, yeah it is crazy looking

At Bennett beach on Saturday

I went to the beach yesterday with (e:Terry), (e:mike) and (e:libertad).
The beach was closed but I swam anyways. Then a lifeguard told me to
get out because the bacteria levels were high. So far I didn't get
sick.

Yea for sewage overflows. :::link:::

Lisa, her gf and I went on the Maid of the Mist yesterday - it was sewage+sulfur stinky. So gross.

The giant tree across the street is completely hollow about 10 feet up
from the base.

It's scary because it's about five stories high. If it falls it would
be a disaster.

tinypliny - 08/28/09 08:57
Wow, I never noticed its hollow. I guess you need to get the scoop from the top.
james - 08/24/09 10:08
I just put it in the system. You will know when they do something before I do.
paul - 08/23/09 20:46
That tree is directly across the street from us in front of the Linnor apartment complex. Its between properties so I don't know the address but the Linnor is 1-19 Linwood Avenue.

Maybe they have some way of filling the hole to save it? I have no idea but it seems dangerous because its completely hollow and has that gaping hole.
james - 08/23/09 16:42
If you give me an address I will have the city take it down.

Last picture of the old roof

I can't wait till the old stained grey roof is gone and the new brown
roof is on.

Ours is gray right now as well. I hate it. We picked black for the new one. Brown should look nice.

Linwood Afternoon Assault
Category: linwood
I know this is so totally racist of me to say but this story and many similar others is exactly why I am generally frightened by black guys in the neighborhood and why I run home from work at night.

Well, I guess it is a combination of being frightend and being sick of being asked for money. I can honestly say, that I have never had a positive interaction with an unfamiliar black man on the street. Luckily, the worst was just when one robbed my house (e:paul,32762)

It is sad because I see how it is unfair for guys like (e:enknot) who told me story about how some women at work, moved their purse to the other side when he was walking down the street towards them. He has to live with all the baggage created by those jerks.

This attack really takes the cake though. (e:matthew) was walking home from work and said he saw a man on the ground bleeding and a bunch of doctors/dentists hovering around him. At first we had no idea what happend but then we got an email from the blockclub and there was an article in the Buffalo News about it. I wonder if the timing was different, if it could have been him.

The assault
I don't see how this ~20 year old could decide to attack a ~90 year old. Its so totally sick. It honestly makes me want to carry a gun or at least a tazer. I wonder if they caught him.

West Seneca man, 85, robbed on Linwood Avenue
August 20, 2009, 6:57 AM

An elderly West Seneca man was attacked and robbed in his car on Linwood Avenue at about 1:10 p. m. Wednesday while waiting for his wife, who was at a doctor's appointment, Buffalo police reports said.

The 85-year-old victim was attacked in the 200 block of Linwood by a man who punched him in the face and body before taking his wallet and car keys, police said. The robber was described as a stocky black male in his 20s, 5-foot-11, carrying a red bag and wearing a black shirt and black pants.

I completed my weekly crime-scan and this came up. I didn't realize you had posted it here as well. Frankly, this is very disturbing. It was in the middle of the day!

This throws many "crime safety precautionary measures" I take out of the loop. This could have been me. :/ Mace is probably a good idea. But isn't it outlawed in NY?
lilho - 08/23/09 20:39
people say the same things about mexicans here... i think there are places everywhere with different racial groups who are thought of this way... buffalo is esp bad though... it feels odd to say that i have met so many non ghetto black people here... most of them have degrees... at least the ones i have met.
metalpeter - 08/23/09 15:53
Well I'm guessing he attacked him because he was there and an easy target. Maybe he needed money for drugs or who knows what caused it. But I'm guessing if there where 3 street kids, Skate Boarders, or metalheads standing around he wouldn't have attacked him or if he did he would be the one with out any teeth. It brings up an interesting question though why come into the city? No seriously if I lived out side of the city and I read this I wouldn't want to come in here for anything. It shows that you can be in a good part of the city and if a bad element comes through that part isn't good anymore. What you are talking about is one of the reasons I didn't go to a mini reunion on Friday night. It was 10pm at the anchor bar. I didn't feel like getting clean and changing into nice clothes and then walking all the way up there and then at who knows what time (maybe a little bit fucked up) walking all the way home. I have walked much farther at later times of night but there are some rough people who come out of no where in my area let alone right around there and walgreens at night.
