Basra Eating A Strawberry
Category: basra
The iphone does an amazing job with video. The quality is so much better in the orginal but its 40MB. Here is the 7MB compressed version.

Basra really likes strawberries. You could get him to follow you are the backyward all day if you had one on a string.

That was freaking cute.
matthew - 08/01/09 16:03
Basra's jaws aren't strong enough to do any damage to flesh.
tinypliny - 08/01/09 15:15
I think he could bite if you stuck your hand too close. Or he could just withdraw into his own little house-shell. Heh
lauren - 08/01/09 15:14
this is desperately cute...but looks a little dangerous...has basra ever bitten anyone?
metalpeter - 08/01/09 11:18
I love strawberries also, don't think I have ever meet anyone who didn't like them
paul - 08/01/09 10:25
I think it is a lot better and having video is awesome.
lilho - 08/01/09 10:17
so cute!

Paul and I both have the new one, it's fast enough that we both switched to using the regular (e:strip) site instead of the mobile site.

I find it very very much faster then my original 2g iPhone (like 10x faster). I never had a 3g to compare it too, though.
jenks - 08/01/09 10:00
when did you get the new iphone? is it worth it? It would cost me like $600 or something absurd to upgrade right now, so I figure I can live without a compass until then. :/
Is it really noticeably faster?

Pottery at Globe Market
Category: art
Today while eating crabcakes at globe market, I spotted some nice looking pottery. Its all set up around these local art displays, so I assumed it was local art.

The one brown vase and the aorta one both struck my fancy and both were reasonably priced. The brown one was really heavy. Both had a tag on them for some artist/dealer on hertel.

They both look pretty orginal and I was all set on buying both or either.

That was until I flipped them over and saw they were from Vietnam and China.

maybe they were made by artists there like those 1000 villages stores where the stuff is made by people in third world countries to get a living wage.

Pear Leaf Blight, Fabrcea Maculata
Category: trees
Oh man, our pear trees which have like 1000+ pears are suffering from pear leaf blight

I think the wetness and windiness made it worse and we might lose the whole crop. It is probably too late to spray as the infection seems really severe.

I tried to trim back the highly affected areas and remove all the infected leaf bebris on the ground.

Mud Wrestling
Category: hiking
This looks like it could be fun. Just a random pic I found on flickr, sadly I was not there taking the pic.

Well I would think mud wrestling with some chicks would be fun, who knows maybe it would even be fun with like a bunch of couples
james - 08/01/09 09:35
It seems like mud wrestling is really popular in Germany. Those those two look like Sean Cody stable boys.

The last thursday in the square
Category: thursday
Yesterday, I thought it was a good idea to whoop up for the last thursday in the square. I ended up hanging out with so many people. There was sameer, (e:Terry), (e:jim), and (e:heidi) at the square. Then we saw Casey down there. Afterward I saw (e:mike) and (e:libertad), (e:enknot), john and johnny and a whole bunch of random people I know from here or there.
