Sorry about the mix up, please send the check back and I will have it
corrected.

I saw this last night and responded:

Sorry, I hadn't seen the email earlier - I was very busy this week and just assumed you would have rectified the situation as it was clearly your firm's error.

Unfortunately, the check was shreded after I sent you the email. You can feel free to put a stop payment on it if you are worried.

I really don't want to wait much longer as we need the money to pay for the roof and I don't see why we should be penalized for your firm's error. I reattched a picture of the check from the day we received it so you can confirm the error.

Honestly, at this point I feel like you probably owe us interest on the funds.

Would it be easier to just wire the money? I will send you the routing number and acct number as soon as you respond.

Thanks for your time,
Paul Visco

The best tuna fish ever

I know I wrote about it before but it's worth a second shot. Tuna in
oil is far superior to tuna packed in water. The can is only like
$5.00 but it's just just as good as the more expensive glass bottle.

haha, no I'm pretty sure it's olive oil... I always get tuna in water, but I have to double check to make sure I don't get the oil ones by accident. I don't doubt that your stuff is better- I just wonder what makes the diff.
paul - 07/30/09 08:53
What kind of oil, cottonseed?
jenks - 07/30/09 01:06
you can get chicken of the sea and bumblebee tuna in oil for like 42 cents, though...

The squirrels in the attic

I can't tell you how much I want to add them to the roadkill foto
series. Once the roof is redone that place is going to be air tight
or I am going to shoot them all in the face.

I used to think Squirrels were cute, till they invaded my garden. They act like they own the place.
metalpeter - 07/29/09 20:40
that is crazy.
tinypliny - 07/29/09 19:36
I was starting miss all the bloody action.

Guess, I need not have been concerned.

Bank Of America Sucks
Category: banks

Hi Terry and Paul,
Thanks for allowing me to serve you with your mortgage needs. I hope you truly enjoyed working with me as I did with you. I wanted to let you know that I appreciate all the time you spent with me working on putting this together. If I may be of any service to you in the future please do not hesitate to call. The greatest compliment I can receive is a referral from a satisfied client. You take Care! Bank of America Home loans is proud to have your business.

I am going to be honest, that was the very worst experience I ever had with a bank. It's not your fault but I didn't know who else to complain to.

The only reason we stayed with it is because after we locked in the rates went up.

The whole reason we chose countrywide/ bank of America was because the original letter said we were eligible for a three day express refinancing as we wanted to redo our roof this summer with the money. That was back in April and it just closed last week with the summer almost over.

During the months of waiting we received almost no information from Bank of America and the number we had to call had the angriest secretary who always told us she had no information or would forward us to our acct specialist's (Michelle Mazolla) voicemail that said she would get back to us in 72 hours, but would not.

In the end we lost every roofer to someone else as we could never guarntee when the money was going to come and now it's so late in the season they are all booked up.

So then we finally get our check and it's made out to the wrong people, Paul Mickelson and Paul Visco. I could see having the last name confused, but the first name, and it attached to a piece of paper with the proper naming.

In the end I guess I would have been much happier with a company that kept us informed during the entire process and delivered on it's 3 day promise.

those people don't seem the brightest, if something like that happened at my job, we would have a huge lawsuit in our laps.
tinypliny - 07/28/09 06:47
That's such a careless clerical error. And maybe the whole finance scenario had something to do with their not delivering on their promised turnaround time.
