Kathy G-Dog
I love Kathy Griffin a lot of the time. part of it might be that she reminds me of all the best parts of my friend diana but she is really hilar! I love this clip ...here she is...i also LOOOOVE when she does a thing about Anna Nicole Smith on Hollywood Squares, Whitney Houston, and an Oprah/Barbara Streisand encounter. Anywho this clip has special meaning to me , cuz GD was a big part of growing up right paul? We always were only minutes away from a GD! I planned on writing about the party boat bachelorette party but i can't get the video of the crazy older lady and amanda dancing from my phone to my blog so that will be later.

I Should Start a Blog
Me and my (e:mom) went to see Julia and Julie tonight. yeah that's right , its not out yet but we had exclusive free preview passes she got at Channel 4! It was really good. It is a true story, well 2 truish stories. One is the story of Julia Child and the other is the story of Julie who is like a disgruntled feels like a waste of life 30 year old who decided to start a blog and blog about cooking through the whole Julia Child cookbook in one year. It seriously was way better than that description may seem. Meryll Streep was amazing as Julia Child and Amy Adams I always love. And the supporting cast was good too. The whole thing was really good and I recommend it when it comes out.

It made me want to start a blog where I write about something and people follow what I write and then they ask me to write a book about it and then it cbecomes a movie like this. But what shall I write about now that the whole Julia Child thing is taken? So i recommend and I recommend making me famous. thank you
lilho - 08/03/09 22:57
you should write about things like being a fugitive unicorn!

never
tinypliny - 07/23/09 18:05
Do you actually cook anything regularly, Mike? Just wondering...
tinypliny - 07/22/09 09:17
I have wanted to blog about my science readings for so long now. Maybe if I get into the habit of writing first thing every morning, I might get somewhere. Addressing a general audience about niche topics is an art that is really quite tough and I think therein lies the reason for my laziness.
tinypliny - 07/22/09 09:13
I have been wanting to see that movie since LAST YEAR. I am SO jealous of you. I love well-made cooking movies.

You do have a following. You even have a #1 fan/deranged stalker. What more could you possibly want? Serial killers sending you newspaper-font-clipped "love" notes?
paul - 07/22/09 00:01
Maybe if you blogged more regularly and about something consistent, you would get a bigger following.

Always Scheme then Climb Over/Florida
The title is just a thing i made with the available words in a refrigerator poetry thing the other day but it seems like a good way to get ahead in life....

...anywho I am so excited I leave for Florida in like 10 hours and it is gonna be sunny and beachy and swimmy and warmalicious! I cannot wait. The flight on the other hand, i could wait for that. Ugh I am gonna try mind over matter and just think "i will not get sick, i will not get sick!". It is def a lot in my mind bevcause when i took xanax one time for it i was totally ok on the flight pretty much. I didn't call my md to get xanax this time which was stupid and so hopefully i survive!! And hopefully there are no terrorists and what nots on my plane. But i think there won't be cuz it is at nighttime and i feel like terrorists mostly work during the day. Better publicity and stuff compared to when people are sleeping. First thought would be terrorists are night people, but really I think they are early risers mostly and get most of their work done during the day. I could be wrong....see ya all next week when i am tan and toned and warm!
lilho - 07/16/09 11:06
i laughed so hard! terrorists only work during they day?!? i know you will be tan, but why toned as well? have fun mikey!

Mike Jackson/Brooke Shields/Rite Aid
So i ddin't see any of the memorial serivce live because I had to work a second 13 hour day in a row so that I would be free tomorrow night for Terry's pseudo-30th birthday dinner at my mom's house (haha 30 , over a month early!)! Anywho luckily a good portion my customers are retired or don't work and so they could keep me updated on the every moment of it! I just watched a little on youtube. Brooke Shields was awesome! I didn't realize they were ever friends. I in reality am not a huge MJ fan , like i like his music but i don't nkow lots about him and stuff or like follow him devoutly! Anywho I relaly like her speech , it was very good in many ways.

I've been reading old journals a lot lately and I realize i used to do so much and go out so much even on work night but now I always think oh i have to work tomrow all day so i'll be tired so i won't go out. But i tihnk I am actually more tired by not goig out. Like going out rejuvenates me. I think i am less tired the next day at work if i go out and don't come home til 2 am then if i go home, rest and go to bed. I need to social rejuvenation! unfortunately I am lacking in that department lately. I need to spice up my life, all the people of the world spice up my life, every boy and every girl spice up my life, ...

here is brooke

Sensationz and my night in Riverside
So last night was (e:beast)'s last day in B-lo before going back to Scotland. (e:Me) and (e:libertad) were supposed to go pick her up at her local riverside neighboorhood bar Sensations by Riverside Park where her family hangs out. Her husband who already went back to Scottland thinks it is the best place ever and teres raves about in a its not classy but fun kinda way but I never felt like I would be comfortable there. Well we are suppsed to just pick her up but her dad is like no you guys have to park and come in for one drink. Needless to say we stayed for like 10 drinks made by faboulous bartenders named Squeaky and Cat. Ironically squeaky has like 20 cats but cat does not. They are so entertaining. We heard all about how cat is really a cougar (haha how appropriate) and about the 26 year old guy that came in and made her cream her pants the other night. And how she pretends her knife is lube to ward off rapists. It all was much funnier in person. The rest of the patrons were a few older men prolly around teres's dads age. It was actually really fun and unlike anything i have been around before! I don't know that i would feel comfortable going there without teres though. Riverside is a whole nother world in some ways. ANywho so we were supposed to pick up teres and come back to dave's to make dinenr. BUt like 10 drinks and some shots of crown later i was not about to drive to dave's past the millions of cops at the riverside carnival as the patrons at Sensationz warned me.

So we deiceded to bring the food which was in the car cuz we bought it on the way and just go to (e:beast)'s parents house like a block away and cook it up. (e:libertad) did a great job considering there wasn't a lot of light in the backyard and he didn't have half the ingredients he planned to use. He improvised and it came out delish. We were able to finsih cooking just in time to run to the fireworks at riverside park with our food. It was perfect. Though the riverside fireworks are a little less than stellar esp. after seeing Kenmore Days so recently and having their fabulosity stuck in my brain!!! Anywho it was a fun, unexpected night. It was different and entertaining and fuN! i recommend giving riverside a try sometimes for something a little different, a little laid back a littel fun a little stuck in atime when people wore a lot of full denim outfits!

I have just one burning question.

What kind of meal can be cooked in semi-darkness (and apparently in super-short time)??
