Footprints on the ceiling
Category: vacation
There are footprints all over the ceiling and walls of the parking
garages. Some of them are like 12 feet in the air.

People must take off their shoes and hit them everywhere. It's in
like every place so it must be a thing.

Hahah.. It's the high-shoe-throw. You and your cronies take turns at throwing shoes higher and higher. The one with the highest throws in around 10 throws (or more) wins. I was in innumerable high-shoe-throw-contests from 3rd grade through final year med school. Ah. Good times!

Ahh, Jim did the homework. That would have been my guess. Kind of strange and interesting that you found it there!

"The language of the Hmong people, whose traditional home is in the mountains of Laos and adjacent parts of Vietnam and China." (from the link in my previous comment)

Old people shades

I bought the old people sun glasses that go over your prescription
glasses. I feel like a true snow bird now at age 31.

you look like a 70's porn star.
tinypliny - 08/22/08 22:57
I understand. By wrong, you do mean discerning and selective, don't you? ;-)
iriesara - 08/22/08 18:18
yeah, sure Tinypliny, no offense, there's obviously something wrong with you.
tinypliny - 08/22/08 18:01
How about one totally hot male? :D
iriesara - 08/22/08 11:08
ooh, the shades AND the mustache, that's a lethal combination, I think I may be blind.

Weren't you in that band, you know, with the indian, the construction worker, the biker dude and the cop?.....I can't decide gay biker or gay 70s cop, hmm
tinypliny - 08/21/08 21:50
I am still going to mob you! Those sunglasses complete the mallu '60s star get-up! ;^D

Beach at 108 degrees
As soon as we got over the Hoover dam, I saw lake mead and a sign to
the beach. It was so hot and the water looked so pretty blue.
(e:terry) reluctantly drove down there as he hates sunshine. I popped
our of the car and ran right into the water. It was so nice. No
getting used to cold, no nasty smell or green funk, or foam, or
debris. No dead fish or fish smell.

The air felt hot like a hair dryer. It was the best swimming moment I
ever had. Then five minutes later it was over as they were already
waiting in the car for me because it was too hot out. I wish (e:mike)
was here to be my beach buddy.

Speaking of which I am now in vegas for four days and I'm not so much
into gambling. Anyone has any other good suggestions.

The Mandalay Bay beach sounds like fun, they also have an elaborate aquarium.
mike - 08/22/08 11:21
i wish i was there with the nice beaches!!!!!!
fing - 08/21/08 23:46
Going to all the different hotels is usually fun. I highly suggest going to Wynn and seeing the show starting at dusk I think. The Billagio fountains I could watch all night long.
tinypliny - 08/21/08 21:54
1. Chocolate Factoryyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
2. The real downtown (which I never saw and people praised like crazy)
3. That really colourful people circus. I forget its name...
4. Wander across that indoor market that has the ceiling painted like the sky and looks very mediterranean.
5. Beat the Devil? :::link:::

Hoover Dam and Lake Mead
Category: vacation
Almost all the water is gone. It looks like a hundred feet down from
where it started. I can see why they want our water. It's sad how
wasteful they are with it. Maybe dessication will teach them a lesson
about conservation.

Both (e:matthew) and I decided we would defend the great lakes with our
lives.
