I thought ivory was illegal
Category: animals
Butt they sell it at the venetian in Las Vegas. Small peices the size
of a golf ball cost more than $1,000 and the big ones are like $50,000
to $100,000 -so I guess they are real.

I think they process it from dead elephants. And of course there is a huge customs stash of it everywhere in the world, so I think governments make money off confiscated ivory by auctioning them to art houses which in turn sell them to artists.

One hour later
Category: family
We went to go see Bodies at the Luxor. (E:matthew) and I took Alex and
the baby Mickelson nephew.

Baby Finn was fine during the exhibit. Then we spent the next hour in
the car as he screamed. Having babies is hard. I never realized how
hard it was to move around with a stroller. We couldn't even make it
two blocks wirhout major obstacles.

(E:terry) took his other two nephews to adventure dome.

I just want to say for the record, that in that picture, the motion blur is me burping the baby, not shaking it.

Footprints on the ceiling
Category: vacation
There are footprints all over the ceiling and walls of the parking
garages. Some of them are like 12 feet in the air.

People must take off their shoes and hit them everywhere. It's in
like every place so it must be a thing.

Hahah.. It's the high-shoe-throw. You and your cronies take turns at throwing shoes higher and higher. The one with the highest throws in around 10 throws (or more) wins. I was in innumerable high-shoe-throw-contests from 3rd grade through final year med school. Ah. Good times!
