Wegman's, pics, etc.
I just finished some tasty Asian cuisine from yet another Wegman's I had never been to before! I love discovering new Wegman's. Today it was a Wegman's in Depew, on Losson and Transit. Although the Market Cafe did not compare to Alberta Drive or even Amherst St., it was better than the one on Orchard Park Rd. for sure.

Here are some random pics from this weekend. One thing I love about th eiPhone is that I just plug it into my computer and it takes the pictures and puts them right into iPhoto.

We were visiting my grandfather in PA this weekend. This town is sooo stuck back in time, I couldn't even tell you what decade. Fasion-wise early 90's, political/religious views maybe 1960? Haha maybe not. But anyway, I love it there.

Is this a word?

This is Robie. You feed him money. I just love it because that has been there since I was like, 6 years old, and probably before that.

How often can you get Pepsi and Coke from the same fountain thing?

A middle school in the area is putting on "Aladdin Jr." which is funny in itself, but the best was that they took pictures of the kids and imposed them on the pictures of the animated characters.

probably the first of several...
...posts about the weather. YIKES! I'm awake at 7 AM on a Saturday morning for no reason really. But of course I was tempted to look outside. Wowza. I don't think I'll be going running today?

I never post anymore. Maybe I have nothing to talk about anymore? That's sad. Ooh I found out that I was accepted to the grad school of my choice, so I will be living in Chicago for about six weeks this summer, and the next two summers too! I'm so pumped.

There are fewer things in the world that are funnier than high school musical productions.

Oh, and if you've ever gone to college/lived in a dorm, read this.

Well, stay warm and stay inside. Hopefully those two can go hand in hand for almost everyone.

oops
I can't tell you how many times I've been sitting in a quiet room with students and I go to open up this website and naturally the volume is turned way up so that all the students suddenly hear "SO ORIGINAL, YOU WANNA--" (close computer) or "OH GOSH IT'S RAIN--" or whatever else there may be. Yes, real professional.

Sidenote, I had a girl faint during first period rehearsal today. Like faint fall flat on your face off the risers onto the floor. Pretty scary.
mike - 12/05/07 19:25
haha i read that as fart, and i was like she farted and fell down...and then i realized it said faint

I either have streaming radio on or I just mute the whole damn thing. I don't want to make that mistake again (semi-amusing story involving my mother and porn).
jenks - 12/05/07 10:11
hahaha totally- I have had to get into the habit of making sure the computer is on mute before I check.

a day off
I'm home today feeling like crappola. My throat is swelled up to the point where it hurts to turn my head to the right. (e:Anne) said it's cuz my glands are "squishing" together. Gross.

I never update anymore. I never actually have time to do much of anything anymore. I'm very un-American. I think the last time I got home from work, made dinner and sat on the couch and watched TV was sometime in September. My normal routine is to be at school until like 3, 3:30, then go to some lesson or go to some meeting, then come home for like half an hour and go to some rehearsal. Today is the first day in a REALLY long time where I literally nothing that I HAVE to do (other than apparently buy toilet paper, since we just ran out...). I don't have to go to a rehearsal, I don't have to play at church...it's sort of fantastic. I needed a day like this. If only I didn't feel icky. That would be super.

I really hate TV. I don't when it happened but somewhere along the line, I lost all desire to ever have the television on. Unless it's playing Saved By The Bell or various movies that I enjoy.

I should go eat something. Maybe I'll do some lesson planning today...maybe...
kookcity2000 - 11/02/07 22:57
are you still teaching at the same school?
lizabeth - 11/02/07 22:32
I hear you on the TV thing. When we moved to Syracuse, we didn't sign up for cable, and didn't miss it (except for watching hockey games). When we moved to Florida, we left our ancient, crappy TV set in NY. We haven't replaced it yet, and we really don't miss it (except for watching hockey games, but we have half-season tickets to go see hockey in person now, so even that is not so bad).

The irony? We both have degrees in Television & Radio Production.

Anyway, I hear ya on the sick thing, too - I hope we both feel better soon! Lilho, too! :(
lilho - 11/02/07 11:25
me sicky too! :O(
drew - 11/02/07 10:29
What church do you play at?
southernyankee - 11/02/07 10:25
I actually unplugged my cable box this morning. Hopefully this will persuade me to get something else done. Sorry you are under the weather. Get well soon!
