A-yo A-yo B-LO
Back to live in the B-Lo i be. After almost two years of New York City life, le me just be the one to say its soooo over Rated. Its first of all just negative toxics floating in the air that makes everyone grumpy there is awful. Too crowded, and a little too ugly for my taste. Mow don't get me wrong I don't completely detest it, I mean I had ALOT of fun there that I would remember forever. But I think that the people with true happy spirits shouldn't move there. It will suck it all out and put car fumes there. So I guess i have a Love Hate relationship, so im sure i will be back frequently to visit when ever I have three days off in a row. Alot of my life still lingers that I can't just neglect those times. So now im seeing friendly people walking down the street and saying hello to you as they walk by. For no reason. I love that and missed that about Buffalo, Which is the second biggest city in New York state next N.Y.C.My family troubles also had a lot to do with my move home. it's good to be near family.......sometimes :). I also want to mention how AWESOME EVERYONE was at the Halloween party this past Saturday. Although a lot of you guys didn't recognize my name from the site since I haven't posted in a fucking year (bad T.K., bad puppy). It was still good to match (e:names) to faces. I got my old job back in buffalo Panos restaurants so come on down and holla at a Negro! It feels good to be back. Peace and love guys.- TK

NYC is a fine city. But it has to be the most hyped place on earth. Buffalo, however, is a fine city and such a bad image (well deserved in several respects though). Anyway, welcome back.
metalpeter - 11/02/07 15:58
Well I knew from what you told me that there where things about NYC you didn't like and that you would be back here but I just assumed you meant to visit. I wish you the best of luck and happiness in Buffalo. I'm not sure what else to say other then if Buffalo is where you are happiest than that is where you should be.
libertad - 11/01/07 20:01
God. I guess I could go to Pano's again just once, but I'm going to be cheap! Welcome back. Take a big breath of the beautiful fall air.
jenks - 11/01/07 18:38
Hey... it was good to finally meet you- and I live right around the corner from panos, so I'm sure I'll be by. :)
mike - 11/01/07 18:15

"hey there delilah.....
what's it like in New York City?" Although this crazy city is packed with 8 million people, not including house guest and tourist (damn tourist). This place can get awful lonely. The people here are sooo selfish, and back stabbing, and whores. Even people who you think are your friends turn their backs on you in a split second. It's not all bad, I mean I still have my few friends here who seem to be genuine. It's a lot different. i need a vacation can't wait to be away. People here also have no shame in saying things to you while you're walking down the street.Last night for example I was stopped by two guys trying to 'holla" and get me to talk to them uh no thank you. a few days ago while I was walking in the park there was a girl who did the whole 'psst' thing to me. I didn't know that was still in style. Girls have been more forward to me actually saying things like "yeah bitch get it, get it", "hey baby come over here....where you goin?". No exaggeration. It still has it's ups and downs, and I'm just trying to stay afloat. Wish me luck, and I'll see you all soon. Love-TK

black like me?
Never, ever, ever have i had my nationality questioned more than when i moved to NY. Atleast once a week someone would ask if Im Indian, and not native american indian, which i am partially. Bodega store clerks, the police, my co-workers and people who i thought were my friends tend to think I am from the middle east and there is no convincing them otherwise. I guess it's not that bad but I just thought I looked black and black. I walked off Dave and Busters and will no longer work there. Fuck that juob!!! I am starting at a three story bowling alley/club in union square soon so thats coo. And thats all thats new...i think. "baby all i want is to let it go, aint no worry, no we can dance all night. get me bodied!! that means come closer to me, while we grind to the beat and yo bodaaee!"
metalpeter - 07/20/07 18:58
That is interesting. If it is people who only see your outside apearance I don't get it at all. If it is people who talk to you and see how you move and talk or any combo and you don't fit there sterotype of blacks in NYC then I could maybe see how someone could. The only other thing that I can think of is maybe the area where you work there aren't any blacks so they assume you are something else. I admit I don't get it but I'm also not from NYC.
terry - 07/19/07 09:33
huh, and i always thought you were mexica...

so, hurray for new job! those bastardos at D&B can kiss my butt.

So you're coming home soon right? Like within say the next month and a half? Everybody misses you.
ladycroft - 07/19/07 02:49
that's interesting. now living in the middle east and having my fill of mixed ethnicities i still wouldn't say you looked indian. i hope the bowling job makes you happy!

true story
i guess you can say you've done it all in New York if you've been to NYC jail. And I have. i was 'locked up" for about 14 hours!!!!For what you might ask: for mutha fuck WEED!!!! and not a lot of it just a joint. Its such a long long story, i was with Mike Weed, he got to go home 9 hours before i was able to. I got my arresting officer in serious trouble, because lucky for me i know my rights, and should have only been detained for maximum 4 hours with that half a joint. Anywho after all the cell lock down and my cell door being stuck closed for ten minuets, the judge threw out my case and i have to attend 1 "canibus abuse" class which is only an hour, and thats it!!!! No record, no probation, and no fine!!!! I LOVE WEED!!! I hope my friends are watching so you think you can dance!!! its really good this year
southernyankee - 06/22/07 16:02
I miss u & need 2 visit u & the city.
...but I don't want to go to jail when I come - = )
Glad that ur okay & on top of the mountain!!!
terry - 06/21/07 22:43
when you comin, jailbird?
fellyconnelly - 06/21/07 19:34
they can only detain you for 4 hours? thats good to know...
bridgette - 06/21/07 16:51
hey there. Im sorry to hear about your troubles. It could always be worse though. You could've been in AZ. I got busted smokin a bowl in my apartment (mind you they didnt find my stash) and got a $750 fine, 24 hours community service, and a year of probation. I love weed too! (i just cant seem to find any schwag these days) but yeah it is good that you know your rights, otherwise you'd have gotten shit on a lot harder. SMOKE ON SMOKER!!!!!

never sleep
now that i live on this tiny tinty island manhattan things have been a lot more easier now. zipping cab rides home, central park litteraly one block away from my front door, and ofcourse the ladies like it!!! hee hee. my ONLY day off has been today since i moved three weeks ago i am hoping i can squeeze in 6 hours of sleep tonight. That would be killer! I have already hooked up with my "striaght" roomate two days ago (this shit will never end!!!!!! i am missing my friends back home dearly!!! The homos here are sooooo strange that is why i still haven't landed me a bf yet and its been over a year since i lived here. I still have my MIKE WEED but does that really count he's not my boyfriend and frankly not living up to the homo friend status either. Maybe im just asking for too much. Any who i have a house phone now so my friends at home should be expecting a TELE-phone call from me soon. i need to get back to drinking now my beer is getting warm. I love you all and miss you dearly!!!
