Hammer Time!

I wonder if she does govt. passport issuing offices?

The lenord Nimoy version of that song is awesome you should really hear it if we are thinking of the same song. That story is awesome and (e:mrmike) you thought Time Warner Blew. But this brings up a point that I have heard before and is true. The reason companies like verizon, Time Warner, Comcast and others can get away with this (i've been lucky and never had a problem yet until they read this and kill my cable) that they are a monopoly and you can't go to any one else, well with out moving that is, and that isn't true anymore. It used to be the city and burbs had different companies and back when it was adelphia there was also adelphia international and they had different channels. Some may say well you go get a satellite dish. That is true but that is a different medium and some people don't want boxes and those ugly things on their homes. If you had at least two cable companies in each city then they would compete and they would have to give you good service. On a side note I wonder if she got her idea from that snickers ad where the guy gets woken up by a caller and flies to where he works and smashes his phone.

Single White Male ISO Tan Cardboard Box
Category: moving
I'm moving. Anyone got any suggestions for where I can nab lots of cardbox boxes for little or no $$$ in Buffalo?
theecarey - 10/17/07 22:39
Your title made me laugh. Anyway, I used to pick up banana boxes from Tops whenever I was moving. Give them a call to find out when their shipments come in. They are a manageable size with a handle of the sort to make transport easier. Especially good for books :)

tinypliny - 10/17/07 22:14
If nothing else works out Walgreens is a good place to go for boxes on Thursdays.
leetee - 10/17/07 17:34
Sally Beauty on Elmwood (in the Tops plaza, between Sears Optical and some shoe store i forget the name of right now). Go tonight if you can. We got a truck load yesterday and they are probably throwing away boxes as i write this. They are open until 9pm. Go ahead and say that i sent you. They call me Lettuce there. :)
mrmike - 10/17/07 16:47
To fill in, UHaul on Main will sell shipping boxes. Lacking wherewithwal when I moved I bought a bunch from them. Prices weren't too horrible and you actually got sturdy containers for the money
jbeatty - 10/17/07 14:38
I have about ten left over from my move if you would like them.
hodown - 10/17/07 14:12
Premier Liquors. They'll give you as many as you want and they are bug free (most liquor stores will give you boxes and because food is not stored in them you dont get bugs).
jenks - 10/17/07 14:07
Try wegmans. The boxes that boxes of cereal come in are a particularly good size. And if you go at the right time, you can usually get tons and tons. At least, that's what I did in NO.
janelle - 10/17/07 14:01
We may still have some left from our move Carolinian. I'll take a look in the basement/attic.

Saw (e:jim)'s picture. A stance that wide can't go unphotoshopped (even if my Photoshop skills are pretty lame).

Nice! But I don't think Senator Craig would've picked a pink elephant :)

Mantra of the day
Category: life
I will not get angry when others say my ideas aren't good; instead, I will take it as them daring me to show the world there's a better way.

I need to keep telling myself that.
museumchick - 09/30/07 14:52
That sounds like a great way of looking at it.

Is everything going okay with the move?
