i missed pizza for THIS?
Category: good times
sorry to miss the fun guys...

in exchange we went to our dance class wherein both lauren and i have managed to put ourself in such an amount of pain that we can't even stand to shower.

i think that i pulled something in my calf. and something directly above my knee. both on the left side. i'm so out of shape.
but we learned some great moves that hopefully when we can walk again we will be able to try and recreate!

we were going to swing by PMT mansion afterwards but we would hav elooked stupid crying and limping.
fellyconnelly - 10/11/07 22:27
no more running for me apparently.
tinypliny - 10/10/07 23:28
You are brave people. I would run (or maybe straggle) a mile in the opposite direction after hearing the word "exercise".

Frozen pot pies linked to salmonella? COOK THEM YOU MORONS!

anybody else think that unions have gotten too big for their britches? i've been rather anti-union since my father got screwed around so regularly by his union.

(e:enknot) your baby is adorable! more pictures please!

last night i met with my boss, heather, and her friend carmello about doing this crazy fashion show/theatrical experience. it sounds like such amazing funness!

more on that later...

i have to get off the computer as lauren has to start writing papers.
and i have to start on my chores.
zobar - 10/10/07 20:43
When I was growing up, my dad was a nonunion carpenter getting paid better than union wages. His jobs were often shut down by union picketers for no real reason. My mom was a union teacher, and Phil Rumore [Jesus he's been at this a long time] was the only thing between her and the school board [, city, media, public, ...] Unions defy one simplistic label; the worth of one specific union is inversely proportional to the sliminess of each specific employer.

i love fashion show/theatrical experiences! In high school I was in our fashion show/dance party/show my junior year adn ran it my senior year! It was liek teh best time ever!
james - 10/10/07 17:57
Sorry, the recent UAW strike has been angering.

Without Unions blacks, latinos, and women would be making much less than they are now. Unions, in general, rock. Some unions, in specific, are doing silly, silly things.

I mean, how can you be mad at the people who invented the weekend?
libertad - 10/10/07 17:52
I love unions. IF there were laws protecting businesses from setting up in places like mexico and india then they would be even better.

If it weren't for my union I would have nothing. NO insurance, no right to be healthy, no plan for retirement, no dental or vision coverage and no days off. I will gladly pay my union dues and because it would be so uncool for a politician to send my job to India then I have pretty good job security.

Sorry. I just can't say enough how much I love my union. Are they perfect? No.
fellyconnelly - 10/10/07 16:56
word james. WORD!
james - 10/10/07 14:12
There are a ton of Unions that are big pains in the ass. Like the UAW. Seriously, there should not be a $70/hr job on an assembly line in this country. If farmers had a union starting way back when we would be paying them $100/hr to grow onions. Dinosaur industries should go overseas or be extinct.

have fun with chores.

now its time to put last nights rollercoaster of emotion away and pretend like monday night football doesn't exist.

i have a football hangover. without booze ever having been involved.
fellyconnelly - 10/10/07 11:30
i never realized how bad it could hurt!
tinypliny - 10/10/07 01:03
I have a not-seeing-firecrackers hangover!
hodown - 10/09/07 17:23
Even those not in Buffalo have the football hangover. Why Buffalo why do you do this to me?
mrmike - 10/09/07 10:36
Second that emotion. People Starting leaving after the last dallas touchdown, thinking we got it. Only to stop dead in their tracks. I ache this morning
jason - 10/09/07 10:14
The pain, it hurts so bad. I thought we would have a moment of glory, but nooooooo. I'm pretty sure most of Buffalo has a football hangover right now.

lilho - 10/09/07 15:14

lauren - 10/08/07 11:19
Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Do you think coconut rum would be good for soaking? Oh what fun we could have!
fellyconnelly - 10/07/07 17:20

buffalo rising? corn mazes?
Category: good times
REFRESH!

Yesterday we went to the Corn maze in wheatfield!

My cousin came to the house and picked up (e:lauren) and drove her up to my aunt's house in Niagara Falls. I met them there. Of course we thought it was just going to be the four of us. NOPE!

we had about 15 people by the time we were done... I show up and of course the perfect thing to do is drink before hand apparently, so we did.

The corn maze was awesome. of course (e:lauren) showed her heretofore unknown skills at exiting mazes. There was the question of whether or not she really was an indian tracker.

ALSO! i started working in the springville store last week. very interesting location i must say....

but one of my coworkers turns out to work for buffalo rising and i realized i didn't know what the beef was between estrip and buffalo rising, but that i should probably know before she sees my estrip bumper sticker next time we work together.

so please help... what is the beef?
jenks - 10/07/07 18:14
I think if anything artvoice/BR have a 'beef'- but really more of a 'friendly rivalry' type thing, I think... But I might totally be making that up- Z could probably settle it.
fellyconnelly - 10/07/07 17:18
okay great.. i really thought that the general mood of estrip was of some unspoken beef/tension/dislike of BR... nobody in particular that i could think of. so i just wanted to be sure that i knew what was going on before i got myself into whatever discussion about buffalo's various online communities.

thanks paul! now i can feel free to continue to flaunt my juicy estrip bumpersticker all over town without concern of the 'other' communities...
paul - 10/07/07 16:58
There isn't any beef between us, unless there is something I don't know about.

I actually helped them out a bunch of times when they were in a pinch. If you heard about me perosnally have beef with them it may have to do with one time when I helped them out during a weekend server emergency but they took over a month to pay me, saying the check kept getting lost or something.

Honestly though, I don't harbor any animosity and I think they do a great service for the city.

They had, however, according to on of my former students, screwed him (he owned the company that did their programming for the first couple years), for lots and lots of money($xx,xxx kind of numbers). I think they worked it out in court. Honestly, I don't even know all the details anymore. Maybe they didn't.

Where did you hear there was any beef, lol.
